Cachalote is a lovely cafe by the natural swimming pools at Porto Moniz. Nice coffees and cakes, pleasant staff and wonderful views

Food was very mediocre, nothing a college student couldn't prepare at home in 15min. Uninspired dessert choice and espresso that tasted like 1980s gas station confirmed it.

We had a great lunch overlooking the sea. The food was delicious, the wine and beer was tasty and the service was excellent. Don't know the prices as we were eating there as part of a coach tour.

We came here for lunch, and sat in the downstairs area. The restaurant is very cool, literally built into the rock (which is visible inside parts of the restaurant), and the views are amazing. I had the lamb, and it was delicious. All the sides...More
