Very friendly staff and owner (John) and one of my top 5 meals in 50 years of travel!! The service was efficient but comfortable, meaning you were not pushed. A wonderful experience!!

Some of the best food we had while traveling through Italy. It was a bit of an adventure to find, but I wouldn't complain about walking through Pienza. The food was glorious, perfect for my vegetarian wife, incredible pasta, and wonderful service.

Really great food in a beautiful courtyard garden setting. Easily the best meal in Pienza with a very good wine list. Best pasta we had during a week in Tuscany. I recommend all the pasta dishes (my wife and I ate here several times) but especially pasta with a generous portion of truffles. The burrata was also very good.

The whole notion of a splendid Tuscan meal prepared by a Scottish chef may sound counter-intuitive (and it is), but the food speaks for itself. La Bandita offers a contemporary take on traditional cuisine -- items like zucchini carpaccio, sliced impossibly thin and accompanied by a divine olive oil pesto. The pastas are terrific, and while tiramisu is a specialty,... More

We found the place through Trip Advisor- the place is better than we envisaged. The staff are helpful and the food is amazing. Best Tiramisu Ever!

Preset a meal for 14 prior to our departure, communication with all staff was excellent. Location, staff and our meal was PERFECT. Actually it was the best meal of our 16 day visit! We will definitely return!

A group of 10 reserved a large table and we had a great meal with some good wine choices. Duck, beef, and fish choices were cooked to perfection. Unlike many of the other restaurants we've eaten at in Tuscany, the food was not over salted. Presentation of the food and service was excellent. I recommend it. Reservations seem to be... More

We've been in Italy for over a week and our dinner here was the best we've tasted. Everything from the salad to the dessert was delicious. We had the salmon and I almost ordered a second serving. It was amazing! Make reservations to be sure you'll get in.

We stumbled on this restaurant by accident, having first tried the Terrazza Val d'Orcia, which bizarrely claimed to be full despite being empty as we walked past both before and after our lunch. Anyway we were grateful to be turned away as the Townhouse provided a fantastic lunch in a sheltered quiet garden setting. Italian food with a modern twist... More
