Situated close to the river bank, this also operates a foot ferry across the river, a kind of hop on hop off service. Stand by the docking station and a employee comes to guide the boat.

Our favourite pub in a gorgeous setting. Always bustling with visitors and locals. We had a lovely lunch, the chef taking our order even though we were 5 minutes after last orders. Just a shame that when a group of customers become anti social, loud and disruptive, the staff didn't feel able to control them. They also allowed their dogs... More

Stayed in nearby campsite and visited this lovely PH. Great range of food and alcohol. They had Morris Dancing laid on and got people to join in. 2 great nights indeed.

We ate here twice during our stay in the area. We booked ahead both times but on both occasions we got the impression our booking wasn't on the list. The first time we sat near the open (gas) fire and to avoid coming out looking like Richard Dreyfus (Close Encounters of the Third Kind) we had to ask to be... More

We went here with friends having walked from the Forest Holidays location nearby. It was a nice walk and the food here was excellent. Nice to see a few cycling magazines to flick through while you wait to order as well! We sat outside with the dog. Despite a grey day, it wasn't too cold and the view is very... More

Stayed up the road and visited this pub a few times, beer was good but the food was even better! Didn't manage to get a booking so had to hover round the bar and wait for a table, but was well worth it. Nice friendly staff with a warm welcoming atmosphere.

We stayed in the Saracen's Head for a one night impromptu get away and had a perfect break. Although we were initially worried due to large numbers of people around in the day Symmonds Yat turned out to a perfectly peaceful place to stay. The surrounding countryside is simply beautiful. The Sarecen's Head does offer free parking which just as... More

Beautiful setting, great pub and lovely food apart from the pork belly that my friend had was very burnt and therefore wasn't enjoyable for the price on the menu!
