Local restaurant serving Catalan specialties. Service was a bit sketchy (they mixed up some items and forgot others) but the food couldn’t be faulted - we shared a grill platter and everything was tender and well seasoned - loved the lamb and butifarra in particular. We also got the grilled veggies (melanzane were awesome) as well as the typical pan de coca. Meal for 4, including a meat platter and 3 bottles of wine for less than 80 euros. Liked the interior too, very old Catalan. If you just want some good honest cooking with no frills, you can’t go wrong here

Beautiful place

Amazing place! We arrived and the owner immediately offered for us table. On the table is was served olive's, garden tomatoes and delicious garlic sauce. Here you can get the most cold beer! Food was delicious, service is top, beautiful place to spend good time and enjoy your food, because this people like what they are doing!

Everything to perfection. Attentive and friendly staff. 100% good quality and sufficient food, good steak, good cheese. Surrounding customers leave happy Ein Restaurant qualitative Wertvoll Gutes essen nettes Personal zu angenehmen Preisen. Everything more than perfect. Here you can eat typically catalan/spanish.

Absolute hidden gem…! If you are in Malgrat De Mar make sure you come here. Absolutely gorgeous food and amazing service. We are from England so didn’t know much about the local cuisine but they happily showed us how to season etc / what the catalans do and it was such a lovely authentic evening. Ambiance is absolutely spot on inside - nice music on low with lovely lighting and the interior design is gorgeous. So sad we don’t live nearer as we would 100% be back in a heartbeat! 100/100!

My favorite restaurant

We were looking for a place to eat in Malgrat and we were delighted, the food was perfect, grilled meat with spectacular flavor, the all i olí my favorite and the toast of bread magnificent. Now it has become one of my favorite restaurants. Price quality the best.

Quirky and cozy place..... Everything was going very well...served by a super polite and professional person super good food at a good price everything perfect.. There were 4 of us, my wife, my in-laws and myself. until the cook came out of the kitchen and my father-in-law, 91 years old, called him, that way PSI PSI, and started saying that he was not an animal and that he was not treated like an animal. My father-in-law is one of the most polite people I know, and I believe that a person of his age should be treated as he deserves, with the same respect that he offers... Even though it was very good and served by an unbeatable waiter, we will never return in our lives, never in our lives will we recommend it. What a shame that a character like that takes away the good work of the rest. JMS

On the plus side: Good food. Nice and friendly waiters. Calm atmosphere. On the negative side: starters are a lot and one starter is enough for two people. When the waiter asks if you want bread and aioli it is not for free. Even if it is not on the menu.

Quality and tradition mixed. They NOT start speaking english (so they NOT expect to serve people they will NOT see again in their life = is a place for locals = they know how to cook best local dishes, and how to serve it. we went a couple of Times and both meat or fish dishes were great. The owner wife also suggested a very good wine. At the end the bill was honest. I’m satisfied!

How refreshing it was to find a "real " Spanish restaurant. Spanish decor too ! We enjoyed it so much the first time we went that we went again on the last night of our holiday. We can thoroughly recommend the lamb chops -delicious !

Lovely Spanish Restaurant 💃🏻

Read the reviews & just had to visit & so happy we did . Family run business & we even met the lovely owner . Great service & they even showed us how to make home made garlic bread , it tasted so good . Can’t wait to make it at home for the family . I chose the half chicken & I have to say it was the best I’ve ever had . My fiancé had the fillet steak & again it was mouthwatering & beautifully cooked . We had wine & ice cream . Very reasonable price & service spot in . A hidden gem . If in this area please go it’s perfect . Thank you so much we love you xx

An amazing place to eat steak and other meats and other good food. The bread starter is unbelievable toasted bread fresh garlic and tomatoes rubbed over the bread with olive oil and salt. Good selection of wines at reasonable prices. Staff and service was excellent.

Beautiful rustic surroundings!

This is a traditional Spanish family run restaurant. Beautiful rustic decor, steaks are fantastic, homemade bread served with cloves of garlic, alioli and homemade chips. Staff very attentive and welcoming, we really enjoyed the ambiance of this busy and thriving restaurant. Full of local people which is always a good sign! We will definitely return on our next holiday.

Traditional good food

After reading reviews on this restaurant , I was eager to visit . The clientel was predominantly locals and the restaurant had a very cosy and traditional feel , there were many meat dishes that you wouldn't normally see on more commercial menus, ie rabbit . We went for a mixed meat platter and baked potatoes , whilst waiting for our meal to be cooked we enjoyed toasted bread with probably the best garlic butter I have ever tasted and fresh tomato.This was a great appetizer and again felt very traditional. The main arrived and as expected was cooked to perfection with a very nice bbq taste to it , the baked potatoes didn't look much , but like everything don't judge a book by its cover , I don't know how they cooked them but they were the best baked potatoes I have tasted. After not much talking and many mouthfuls of amazing food we were finally just about at the end of a tasty meat platter, that was well worth the 37 euros with a drink each that we paid. If you want a great meal in a traditional settings put this restaurant at the top of your list.
