We hadn't been back to Papposileno since Francesco, the original owner, had left and were eager to test the new team of Valerio and Alessio. The decor is really very special as this is a renovated old mill and granary, but with some contemporary elements here and there. We chose the Fish menu and we were offered a small glass... More

We went here on reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant and ambience is wonderful. Our meals unfortunately were disappointing. The pasta dishes ordered were too salty. My daughter couldn't eat hers. The veal was very tough. My main course was served with my family's appetizers so I kind of just watched them eat their dinner. During dinner I got a... More

Dear Madam, We are so sorry for your dinner at our restaurant. Sometimes it can happen some mistake, just a little bit more salt and the plate becomes salty! I remember I proposed you to change your pasta. About the veal, as our meat come from animals who live in the wild, the meat is tastier but perhaps less tender... More

The food and service were both wonderful at our family style rehearsal dinner foe our wedding. The courses did take a long time (very common in Italy) and the portions were way more then our family could finish. Great atmosphere and ambience.

Papposileno is a beautiful restaurant, where you should book in advance because all the meals are freshly made. Even if the place looks classy, and the food amazing, it is not so expensive. For an antipasti, secondi and delicious wine from the region, you come around 36€ pro person. The plates are big, there is a lot of choice between... More

We went to Papposileno again after our last visit last winter. We were curious to know if its outstanding cuisine was just a "static" experience based on the deep knowledge of a limited number of dishes, or "alive" and oriented to the research of new tasting frontiers. Well, what we found out was the same warm ambience but with a... More

We sat in the old brick grain store and had a lovely meal. Romantic setting, great food and service gets a 10/10 from us! Enormous portions - we did a lot of plate sharing. Pasta with black truffles, local veal steak (not crated) with chocolate hazelnut cake to follow and the brut rose to wash it down - yum!

I should preface this review by saying that we were dog tired by the time we wended our way up the hills of Chianti and finally arrived at the restaurant. So, the mental space we inhabited, fueled by exhaustion, must be taken into consideration. That said, the best part of our meal was the appetizer, a crostini topped with squash... More

The setting isunusual and the taxi driver struggled to find it! We were driven in from Colti Bueno and had no idea where we were going! Not helped by some very unhelpful residents of the town. The restaurant is love - the food is good and clearly fresh - the service is so very friendly and the portions so generous... More

We visited this restaurant expecting a good beef steak, but on our visit the restaurant only had veal. We had to selected other dishes from a very limited menu. The food was OK, but nothing outstanding as mentioned by other reviewers. We did enjoy the setting of the restaurant and the staff was very friendly. I would prefer to try... More

Good morning, Ricardo. Thank you for writing about our restaurant and for enjoying the place and service, but your review has absolutely no sense: we don't serve beef, we never did it before, and nowhere you can read about beef in Papposileno. We have quality veal meat from a local small farming called Ascione. We are sorry if your expectations... More

The funny thing about Papposileno is that, at least for us, from the moment we entered the restaurant we knew we were in for a wonderful meal. There is something about the space…modern but warm and intimate…that tells you that this is a special place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. For us it was a family dinner... More
