We had dinner here while driving the North Coast 500 and staying in the area. What a delight! The hotel restaurant was open to non patrons and we had the best table in the house with a fabulous view of the loch and the food was really good too, served by friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Lochcarron is a nice little place to drive through. It is a sleepy town on a Sunday, so the only place that we found open was the Lochcarron Hotel. It is a quaint little place to have a pint and a great meal. The pub dog is friendly and wants to play fetch. Nice view of the loch from outside... More

Went here to ease a hangover. Looked like the perfect place to grab a greasy breakfast, was not disappointed and quite a decent price for the area. However there was no welcome when we entered, until a growling dog approached us followed by who I presume to be the owner, who looked even more hungover than ourselves. We started tucking... More

My wife and I had the seafood platter for two. We were not expecting the mountain of seafood that arrived at the table which included Longoustine, delicious whole sardine, scallops, seabass plus black pudding and potato patties as well as another plate of mussels. All for a very reasonable £27. Possibly the best seafood meal I've tasted.

Great local food. We grabbed a table at the front by the windows overlooking the Loch. Menu and meals were easy to understand and everything sounded like it was something I would eat. I had the jacketed potato with salmon and cream cheese which was super delicious and a good size portion as well. There is a small section of... More

Have eaten here three times on my travels for work, each time tried something different. The scampi states it's homemade, if it is then is very poor. Next time I tried the Lasagna, which was ok If you don't like a lot of mince with it and just sauce, as there was plenty of it and not much else. Lastly... More

Firstly the view from the hotel is second to none, absolutely fabulous. The restaurant itself is nothing to shout about about, average food which seems to take an eternity to come during busy periods. The place is massively understaffed. The owner seems to linger around the bar not willing to help out other staff members. The pub is nice but... More

Lovely spot right by the Loch. sat outside with a beer in the sunshine, fantastic. Ordered a "steak pie" which was a small portion of really nice tasting meat and gravy with a finger of puff pastry on it. I come from Yorkshire and that is not a pie, it's a starter. Real ale should be good as the Isle... More
