The dining area doesn't have much atmosphere or ambience, the rest of the pub has a drinking only feel to it. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was ok. We had a 5 bean chilli. It was ok but not our best meal in Ingleton.

Called in after 9 mile walk up Ingleborough - hubby had a dizzy blonde and I had a Hendricks gin and fever tree tonic, both gorgeous. Decided to book an evening meal and glad we did, for starter had fish goujons and freshly cooked - mains both had steak pie off specials board, fab with home made chips

Went to eat here but left after a short time as the menu was dull and uninspiring. Fried food or burgers was all that was on offer. Not really a welcoming pub either.

Fish was hot , crispy and tasty. Nice outside seating area which imagine would be lovely to sit in the summer months. The onion rings were to die for, and I figured I'd burnt enough calories doing the waterfall trail to justify them!

After walking up Pen-y-Ghent went for drink or two in the Wheatsheaf which is in village of Ingleton. Great place to relax & enjoy the Theakstons & Bombadier beers. Didn't eat although smells from kitchen were fabulous!

A lovely homemade soup, BUT .... the Hallouni starter was spoilt by being deep fried. The medium rare sirlion steak was beaten thin, was over cooked to well done and was full of sinew. The homemade battered onion rings were all batter little onion and burnt, just tasted of burnt batter. A real shame. 20% discount was taken off the... More

Just a cheeky night away booked at short notice. Only £55 for the two of us. Ok, the room was basic but comfortable and the free WiFi in the bar didn't reach to our room. But those are minor issues. Breakfast was an outstanding Full English... or full Yorkshire as they call it and could not be faulted. So a... More

Visited here a few times now and can't fault the staff, food or accommodation. More than happy to accommodate individual requests on food. The chef produces excellent food and the range of food offered to cater for dietary requirements is also very good.
