What a very interesting property, if a little contrived, golf driving range and acute competition for a table from the residents of the caravan park who have little alternative but to eat here... In a good day the food is tasty and imaginative. Overall I prefer to travel a bit further to other excellent eateries in the area. Gig hall,... More

Our first visit to this area and the caravan we stayed on was behind the pub/restaurant. We drank in here everynight on our 3 night break. The first night we decided to eat as the menu is described very well and in detail. Before we ate we had a couple of drinks in the bar which is a lovely area... More

We visited here on Sunday for a family lunch, haven't been in a couple of years so weren't sure what to expect. We weren't to worry though because it was just as lovely! the conservatory areas are lovely, especially with all the flowers and fairy lights around. The food came extremely quickly and was delicious. The staff were all great... More

Wow! What a lovely place to have an evening meal. We had 2 courses & both were outstanding. The restaurant & the conservatory are decorated tastefully with a relaxing ambiance. The staff are well trained & polite. Really impressed & will be back with some friends next time. Whatever you do don't upset the chef!

The make over is amazing, beautifully decorated. Service was outstanding, helpful and friendly staff. Sunday lunch menu had very nice choices. Lovely atmosphere, sensational food and value for money. Wheelchair accessible.

10 of us visited the Friar's Head tonight. The venue is very nice, fresh and welcoming. The food is great but the service is poor. The bar man was very slow and they ran out of 2 common types of gin and only had 1 kind of single malt whisky. That said, great atmosphere and very polite staff and other... More

Lovely pub. Food very nice - the steak and ale pie was meaty and delicious, the handmade burger was tasty and beautifully flavoured.
