The met and greet we had here was none existent.... We stood and waited but where just looked through. When did finally sit down and eat it was all a bit over rated in my opinion No draught beer or lager which is a shame. Service was ok but i defiantly not rush back.

Dropped in for lunch when visiting local area. Attractively fitted restaurant with an open kitchen and fairly relaxed ambience. Service a little on the slow side despite the restaurant being almost empty. Lunch plates were average fayre, crab cakes (plural on menu) arrived as a single small cake on a large wooden platter - needed to order fries and a... More

We ate in the restaurant on what must have been one of their busiest days - during the food festival. The service was excellent, staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was lovely.

Our first visit to Porthleven - we were fortunate enough to try Amelies on our 2nd evening - we then returned for 2 more evening meals and the Sunday lunch - all within a 6 day Holiday Fantastic service, wonderful food and electric atmosphere The kids loved Amelies with the Sunday lunch becoming our 7 year olds best meal EVER... My husband and I visited on Easter Saturday while spending two weeks walking the south west coast path. It was one of our favourite restaurant experiences of the trip. We arrived to a lively atmosphere of people chatting and a piano player in the corner. However it soon became apparent he was more than this as he also played the... More

My family and I went to Amelie's for Easter Sunday lunch and we we're disappointed. Amelie's is overlooking the harbour at Porthleven so it's a great location and there was a friendly service from all staff. They had a Jazz band playing live music which added to the atmosphere. My wife had traditional Sunday lunch which looked excellent, my 6... More

Visited as a pair for dinner on 16 April 2017, as part of a drop in visit to the area. In short; we ordered a steak rare and it was delivered well-done, I was given the wrong beer (which as the initial mishap, I was willing to overlook) and; it took over 30 minutes for the waiting staff to come... Super staff, lovely young lady who was most helpful and catered to our requests with a smile. Excellent food , we both had sea food and it was fresh and delicious. Loved the trio who sang most beautifully, it was such a lovely evening. Thank you.

Saturday night restaraunt was full and with a great atmosphere helped by the pianist, guitarist, balalaika player! Despite being busy the service was great. Fantastic for fish, but with other great options including a v good burger. Yes they did charge £4.50 for a bottle of water but we could have asked for tap, and overall it was good value... More

Came here for a birthday meal for a friend. I have also celebrated New Year here a few years ago. The food is always good and the waiter/waitress very friendly. However, we did find them very slow on this occasion but they apologised and we still enjoyed the evening.

Description
The freshest ingredients sourced from the best local suppliers. A relaxed, waterside atmosphere where you can sit back and relax. Service that's memorable for all the right reasons. At Amelies, Porthleven and sister company Gourmet Picnics we share the same ethos which runs through everything we do. Come and experience it for yourself. Please note in the winter season we do close on a Monday day and Tuesday day, re-opening Tuesday evening.
