On holiday for a week, we dined here this evening and had mussels followed by venison then baked chocolate mousse washed down with a bottle of fine rioja. Each course was beautifully presented and infused with delicate flavours some of which I had never tasted before. The service was excellent and the atmosphere cosy and inviting. Can't reccommend enough, may... More

We visited Kota restaurant for dinner on the first night of our stay just outside Porthleven. The interior and menu looked really inviting and we were welcomed in. We both went for the three courses for £25 menu and appreciated the amuse bouche and special breads served beforehand. We then had mackerel to start with, cod for main course and... More

We went to here last week while on hols in Cornwall after booking Kota Kai, their sister restaurant, thinking it was Kota. Jane rejigged the seating to accomodate us & we're so glad she did! It was one of the best restuarants I've ever been to - welcoming, relaxed and the most amazing food we've ever had! Oysters were awesome... More

Wow, I have waited for two years to visit Kota (live 300 miles away and visit the area usually at short notice three times a year so can't get in) and it exceeded my high expectations. I cannot believe how reasonable the set menu is, amazing value for what we ate. Three of us, two bottles of wine for £117.00.... More

So, the husband decided to wine and dine me, and whisked me off to our fav restaurant. Amazing attention from staff who engage and look after you but aren't in your face. Food was second to none. Hubby has scallops for starter which were cooked to perfection...followed by venison and an amazing blue cheese ice cream, I know right? Don't... More

My Husband and I visited Kota whilst on holiday in Helston. We had read great reviews on here so booked a table online for 6pm as they opened. We got to the restaurant about 25 mins early, the lights were on and door was open so my Husband parked the car and I went in out of the horrible rain.... More

Visited Kota whilst on holiday having tried some of the other restaurants in the town on previous visits. We were very well looked after by the staff who were exceptional as was the food, all of which was superb flavoursome and filling. Looking forward to returning again tomorrow...

A family outing and everyone was catered for by friendly staff who were genuinely interested in being helpful. The menu was really comprehensive and all of our choices were excellent, some unusual and delicious. There was a vegan alternative which was really special. Faultless.......apart from the draught coming up the stairs!
