The Bellevue is a Belle Experience

This venue was booking only and on the evening that we visited that was the 17th September at 7.15pm and as we arrived casual visitors were turned away that had not made a reservation. We were seated very promptly and asked which aperitif we would prefer and we decided on a local wine which was of a very good quality. Liz on of the proprietors came to the table and discussed the menu as we had decided to go a la carte which have various choice of starters as well as both fish and meat main courses . I chose locally caught ling and my wife had a non meat salad which she supplemented with vegetables cooked in a delicious sauce We finished with coupe de glances and fromages de terriore which was some of the best local cheese that I have ever experienced. The bill came in under €55 for us both which a restaurant of this quality was fabulous. I would highly recommend this restaurant remembering that booking on their website is essential. Mr M Angell

A lovely meal

Really impressed. We booked for lunch through the restaurant’s website a few days beforehand and got an email confirmation. The menu all sounded amazing, we got three starters just to taste. They have a children’s option which isn’t just ham and chips o joie. Fresh fish of the day perfectly cooked with a lovely risotto which my 4 year old and 8 year old enthusiastically enjoyed. Our dishes were prepared to perfection with really fresh, delicious ingredients including local plants from the prés salés. The service was welcoming and attentive and timely without being at all pushy, both professional and friendly. Desserts and coffees were also impeccable.

On the occasion of a weekend in the Baie de Somme, we opted for an à la carte lunch with an aperitif, cod accras to share, bar and risotto (soft and succulent!) and gourmet coffee. Pleasant service. Only problem ; reservation only possible online...several attempts necessary and comment added only on the 3rd attempt to indicate availability.

The food is good but the cost is rather high (dish between 15 and 25€) for relatively "simple" dishes. It is especially a shame that the menu has not changed in 6 years... There may be plenty of tourists, but it is difficult to make the locals want to come back... After a first visit a few years ago, we have everything even wish to try the experience again. We were disappointed by the very cold service, despite a setting (breathtaking view of the bay) which lends itself to a warm and friendly atmosphere. Difficult to get a smile from the owner, who was only waiting for one thing: for us to leave (at 10 p.m. in the middle of May holidays)... In short, if you are passing through why not, but as that local we will not come back!

A cold welcome not commensurate with the dishes offered and the place unfortunately. Accuracy in the cooking and presentation of the plates with a view of the bay enhanced by a magnificent sunset. This family moment could have been a great experience if the service had shown a minimum of professionalism commensurate with the prices charged...

We knew and appreciated the Bellevue and we wanted to introduce our children to it for lunch, this restaurant is very well located, and we appreciate the choices offered. But during this family meal, we immediately realized that this restaurant tolerates children (under 5 years old), but that they are not really welcome... we asked to adapt the menu child by replacing the proposed fish fillet with a half portion of accra, this seemed neither disproportionate nor detrimental to the organization... the refusal was quite categorical, even icy. For a dish chosen from the menu - to keep the meal brief - we waited an hour and noticed that customers who arrived later were served before us, the bread basket was present on all the tables...except ours ! With the exception of a young, friendly waitress, the welcome and attention were non-existent, the owner did not deign to respond to our greeting when we left... The quality of an establishment is certainly measured by the quality of the cuisine, the location, the decor... but all this without a quality welcome and a little kindness loses a lot of meaning... Returning along the coast roads from Etaples to Pays de Bray in the pouring rain we happened across this isolated restaurant overlooking the Bay. A warm welcome, friendly cheerful waiting staff in a well appointed comfortable restaurant. A simple, uncomplicated menu from which we chose the Fish of the Day - a cod - family fillet on mussels and samphire with a tasty broth accompanied by a good Alsace Riesling. I chose Roasted Apricots with citrus sponge and a sorbet which i found was the only slight disappointment; the apricots could have been warmed and finished with a flame to caramelise them. All in all a real find and worth a detour.

Sinister staff, bordering on rude. Tasteless dishes, neither good nor bad, prepared without love of the profession and served without any empathy for the guests. There is also an icy atmosphere of a station hall in this restaurant. The view of the bay doesn't even make up for it because it's free on the other side of the road

We had a lot of fun having lunch here, for some well-made seafood dishes and above all, the fish were cooked perfectly, grilled, hot and still very juicy, barely detaching from the bone, great. Sardines at the top, very firm gray shrimps, generous sea bass, also blued, good accompaniment. I would have had more syrup on my baba or been able to help myself. Like many, we less appreciated the service, goodwill but not professional and quite relaxed. No attention, not many smiles, no exchanges... we are there to serve, not to laugh. Damage. Wine by the glass served.. we don't know where or how. It could come out of a beautiful bottle or a cube. Personally, I like it when someone offers me a taste and my glass is served in front of me, with the bottle. And a smile, a nice word, is good too. The dishes are well presented, in pretty enameled stoneware crockery, the setting is simple and tasteful, the toilets are well kept. We know that we are not at the Ritz, the pleasure/price ratio is good.

We booked via the restaurant's website. The response was quick and efficient. Nice surprise when arriving at this restaurant in which the decor is tastefully done. The welcome is friendly. So we take a seat facing the bay and read the menu on which the dishes are all tempting. Fresh fish, shellfish, and other specialties. The fish cooking is perfect, the accompaniments original (no fries.. 👍🏻). The hake carpacco is great! In summary, a very good quality and succulent lunch. I highly recommend.

We had lunch in the restaurant We wanted to eat on the terrace, it seems everything was reserved....except that a lot of tables were free, and that another waitress then allocated tables of 2 to other people who came without reservation...I observed So mixed reception, fairly slow service, it looked like other tables were more "important" Brief, The dishes were good, the products of good quality The kitchen clearly raises the restaurant's rating, but not the service

Pleasant restaurant facing the bay, very pleasant refined decor Pleasant and professional staff, good service. Good food and a very good dessert but could be better Disappointed on several points compared to other restaurants nearby. In fact, a small pot of olives only with the aperitif, a single slice of wholemeal bread for the starter, the fin and skin had to be removed from a piece of smoked fish as a starter. Quite expensive when you don't take the bay menu and you take water, wine (good) coffee and aperitif

Very pleasant welcome, competent and attentive staff, a pretty room and beautiful terrace facing the sea! A sea-oriented menu, good, no-fuss cuisine that highlights the products. Frequented a dozen times as a sure value, we sometimes became puzzled after a visit to this restaurant. It must be recognized that invariably the plates are excellent and bring credit to the region.
