We were referred to the restaurant by a hotel nearby. Although the place looks goods, we were less impressed by the food and staff. The food was mediocre: too large portions and poor in taste. Male waiter was loud and in your face. Female waiter was rather rude and visibly dismayed by the fact that we were not able to... More

This is part of the Grunauer Hof family resort complex and takes up almost the entire main floor of the main building. There are many interconnected rooms and something of a maze. When we were there, it was a Saturday evening and the place was very busy. Many families enjoying togetherness. We found the service to be rushed and less... More

We went for a roasted pork and a vegetables strudel. The first one was good, but not remarkable; the second one was clearly not fresh (frozen), and it tasted accordingly. Even the saker cake we took for dessert was not fresh. So not really a dinner to remember.

The Grunauer Hof is an outstanding family-run hotel with a well-trained and caring staff. It is immaculate, beautifly decorated and delightful in every way. A quiet oasis outside Salzburg, it is located in a green, rural area with gardens and orchards where the fresh produce is used in their excellent regional cuisine. We highly recommend Hotel Grunauer Hof.

Great restaurant with good service, serving traditional food. Been there many times and will return for more good meals. Just a little outside the main area but really worth the trip

Very busy restaurant, but yummy food and even yummier desserts. This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed in. Service was good and prompt inspite of it being very busy.

Pros: Outstanding food, fast service, well priced. Great ambiance Cons: Terrace could have better wasp control in place.

While located a few kilometers outside the city of Salzburg, it is definitely worth the taxi fare. Grunauer Hof serves authentic Austrian food at very reasonable prices. The ambience is great and the staff go out of their way to make you feel special. 2 course dinner (huge portions) including a glass of wine and water for under € 25... More
