Chose this place since I wanted to have Malaysian food instead of the several Chinese restaurants. I had a Nasi Goreng Kampung which was not great at all. In fact, I think I could've made a better one at home. Lol. I should've stuck to...the Colonel(KFC) AND Pizza hut purely for hygene reasons. The last thing you want is an upset stomach before a spectacular dive. #lessonlearnt?More
Good breakfast, variety of choices ranges from roti canai, chapati, naan, and of course nasi lemak. A good change for taste buds after all the seafood feast.
Loving the lamb roti/egg roti/chicken roti dishes here ! Fresh watermelon juice rocks my world ! Not sure which roti to try next....... Loads of other menu items worth a try.
We ate here about 4 times over our time in Semporna. The food was probably the best we had here and with a lot of variety. We liked the roti canai with mutton and the chicken & mutton curries with rice in particular. Part of...the experience was just sitting and watching the local people come, eat, and go; the grocery delivery service from the neighbouring grocery store go by (boys pushing wheelbarrows); and watching the presumed owner behind the desk take the cash, bark, tease, and play with the minimum of 8 conservatively dressed girls who took the orders and delivered the food. Part of paying the bill also involved watching as the proprietor cum math teacher taught the ladies, among them, presumably, some of his daughters the basic skills needed to total the bill and make change. We were not fans of Semporna but Bismillah was one of the highlights of the human experience.More
If you’re looking for a decent meal with local flair, don’t hesitate to eat here.. found this place by accident and ended up eating here most of the days we stayed in Semporna, place has a good mix of tourists and locals eating there The...boss and some waitresses speak/ understand English and are able to help you choose the right thing The lamb curry is delicious especially when paired with the roti canai (the best!) Service is slow but that’s the case at most places hereMore
I've never ever expected will get such an awesome roti* banjir (Roti canai with curry). The taste is truly addictive! How I wished I am back there, eating my roti banjir while writing this recommendation 😄 The photo looks ugly, but trust me.... it is...YUMMY!!! The roti canai was crispy from the outside but chewy inside, added on with the mixed of chick pea gravy and mutton curry, such perfect match. Luckily I am not staying nearby 🤭 otherwise will gain awesome weights too. *Roti canai - Malaysia, Roti Planta - Singapore.More
It would be great that the good points that they get in the food, will be lost by the poor service by one of the waitress, that means gossiping about clients when they still are in the restaurant, and paying more attention about what clients...orderMore
We had a really great dinner at Bismillah! The vegetable roti was absolutely amazing, so much so we tried to work out how we could get some to takeaway for our onward journey! Definitely come here if you are unfortunate enough to have to stay...in Semporna for the night, like us!More
This place has been running for years and hasn’t lost its touch. For under $2 you can get basically any meal and a drink at a delicious standard. I used to go to this place everyday for about 2 months for breakfast, and I never...left unsatisfied. Service is fast, staff are welcoming and nice and food is great!More
i think this restaurant is all over semporna town. bismillah 1, bismillah 2, bismillah 3. the food is good. one of the cheapest seating place to eat in semporna. the teh tarik is the cheapest in semporna when i was there.
as a peninsular residents.i feel dat dis restaurant is d best in sabah.i tried tomyam seafood.chicken tandoori.Beef fired noodle. 5 stars instead of other places.Recommended!
The iced teh tarik was good. The nasi goreng seafood was also not bad. But in my opinion, they should always change the ayam goreng displayed in the windowed cabinet as it was always not hot. Anyway, a good restaurant
24hrs coffee shop located below Marina Hotel. Try their delicious roti prata, it was nice. We ate that for breakfast on our entire stay in that area.
A wide varitey of Asian food from Indian,Malay and Thai food. Standard variety. I had the Tom Yam seafood but I didn't think it meets the normal standard. Fried rice and prata was good. Environment around it is not too great either. Typical of Semporna...- too much scrap nearby.More
