We stopped for lunch en route from Edinburgh to Skye. Car park was full which is usually a good sign. Not so good to we were the designated coach parking spaces occupied by coaches! So we had to queue for lunch. Food was ok but quite basic and seemed slightly overpriced for what we received.

We were looking forward to a decent meal, but we arrived a little too late. The items were very picked over, but they did have a little soup left and some pre-made sandwiches. The lunch was o.k., just wished we had arrived earlier. I believe this location caters to bus tours as it is attached to a pretty large store... More

Nice selection of sandwiches and scones etc. Home made soup was nice on both occasions we stopped here. Nothing fancy but reasonable quality and not expensive.

How sad that I have to report a negativity. We stopped in yesterday 'Friday' to use the toilets and cafe. The toilets were filthy, there is no excuse to this, you are reflecting the Highlands in a dreadful way. Then we went in for a cuppa, the staff were pleasant however the preparation area behind the counter was also filthy,... More

Unusually for Scotland it was 22 degrees in March! Decided we would like to sit outside and had a lovely afternoon tea brought to the table. In terms of service they maybe missed the mark a little - as it is supposed to be an indulgence - so picking plastic wrapped sandwiches and plastic teaspoons need addressing but for £12... More

Popped in here a couple of times for coffee whilst staying nearby. It is very pleasant and the food & coffee is very nice if a little dear (£7.20 for 2 coffees & 1 pastry)

My wife, sister-in-law and myself stopped of here for lunch whilst we were out for the day sightseeing in the area. The restaurant/cafe was very pleasant and inviting. We had a light lunch of homemade soup and sandwich which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The mill itself was well worth a look round out of interest, we also purchased... More

Stopped off here on our way South, intending to eat at the Bridge Cafe, just down the road; sadly that was closed. Opted for beans on toast and scrambled eggs on toast - how hard can that be? I suppose the mumbled "get this up to Chef Gordon Ramsay" should have been a warning. Eggs: microwaved and unseasoned in the... More

We are sorry to hear of your dining experience at the store this is not our normal way of serving the produce and your comments have been passed onto the food services staff. It is good to hear that the counter staff dealt with your order in a proffessional manner. Re the issues with the toilets all comments have now... More

This is a little like an upmarket transport cafe. Coach bays take pole position in the car park setting the tone for the "blue rinsed" brigade of customers. There is the obligatory shop. Selling all sorts of Scottish fare. Whisky and blankets... On the food counter, the soup bowls were dirty. Displaying baked on food remnants. Lovely. After carefully selecting... More

So sorry to hear of your dissapointing visit to the store, the food services staff have been told about the bowls and cutlery and they should always ensure that they are all clean and free from marks when being returned to the servery. Re the panini we do use 100% chicken and the cheese is of a high standard and... More
