Me and my master Rogan popped in here today and had a coffee and and a very generously filled prawn sandwich. They had treats for me which were delicious, and a water bowl outside. This charming 17th century building has lots of character, and we...More

What a lovely little gem this place is. Really friendly & helpful staff. They do wonderful toasties on great bread - not that thin sliced stuff and their cream teas are to die for!

What a terrible visit we had today! So much so we ended up leaving and going straight into another little tea room 50 yards away with fantastic service and hygiene! As we arrived first impressions were not overly good. Tables needed a wipe down and...More

Came across The Old Curiosity Shop whilst enjoying a great day at Broadstairs Folk Week. The town was packed but we found room at the shop and were welcomed by the 'family of staff' who catered for our every need. Wonderful fresh food very tastefully...More

Went in and found it dark and dingy. Staff were polite but unhelpful. Ordered a cream tea and was slightly off put by being given a small cup with a tea bag in. The first two tables I sat at were dirty. The scone tasted...More

We had cream teas and a cream coffee here - price 3.75 for a cream tea and 4.50 for a cream coffee, cheaper that other places such as Bleak House. Very enjoyable little pit stop!

Love this place. Really quirky, good value, tasty meals and the best hot chocolate. Highly recommend. Oh and the staff are really lovely.

We had a cream tea of scone, clotted cream and jam....Absolutely delicious. The scone was light, airy, soft, delicious, nothing like the 'cloggy' scones you can buy in the supermarket, Ghe service was great, polite and helpful. The actual venue is clean and tidy and...More
