This is the best food we had in Santa Teresa. Very professional. It is a little more expensive but you get what you pay for!

The place is beautiful, right by the sunset. The hammocks on the beach are wonderful. The service here is THE BEST! Our guy knew a lot about food & just general service was phenomenal. The food was ok, nothing special. I got the tuna tartaki, which was ok, too salty with the soy sauce. The ratoutille was refreshing

This entire dinner was a WOW. Gourmet food with great quality! This chef is so unbelievably talented. He is a local guy from Santa Teresa that studied in Europe at different Michelin-starred restaurants. This was our most expensive meal in Santa Teresa, but well worth it. And still less expensive than what you would pay for this meal back home... More

Wow what a pleasant surprise! First, Randy, the restaurants' executive chef is the Costa Rican Cuisine ambassador to the world, selected amongst a large group of local chefs. He recently traveled to represent Costa Rica at the New York Times travel Show. When you taste his food, you understand what makes this place so special. They source most vegetables locally... More

but the execution left something to be desired. The food wasn't as tasty as it looked, and the red wine was served refrigerated. I GET that we're in the tropics. but a restaurant that is striving to be as high class as this one, really should know better than to refrigerate red wine. Granted, it's been a while since I've... While the menu they have doesn´t have a lot of options, the meals they serve are very well cooked, presented and excellent taste, if you stay at that hotel, eat there at least once.

Incredible food for all meals- Great coffee, breakfast burritos, and gallo pinto for breakfast and the Tuna Tataki for dinner is out of this world. Highly recommend it!

I left my group of friends who went to a place where the music was too loud for me. I ate at Shambala alone after I stumbling on the sign on the way back to my hotel. I liked the verdant setting and the menu (pescaterian-friendly) so I stayed. The service is subtle, quiet, and prompt. The music was playing... More

Food was top notch and service was excellent. Nice atmosphere right on the beach. The drinks were great too, the dessert was ok.

Our family visited Shambala for dinner and it was amazing. The open concept makes for a very intimate and comfortable setting. The service was top notch. Now the food...it was simply the best! Chef Randy introduced us to flavors that we have never experienced before. Awesome experience overall. Very highly recommended!
