Many a local will tell you that this place is a trap for tourists ...but disregard such comments ..the food here is some of best you will find and the price is right...have lost count on how many times over the years we have headed for Longbeach for an evening feed...satay sticks .....Spring rolls....two two items always on the order... Long Beach is in the centre of the tourist strip at Batu Farringhi. Serves typical hawker style food, Chinese, Indian and Malay. Wouldn't bother with the western food, why come all this way and not eat the local dishes. Food is good, service is ok and the prices are reasonable. Easy to order from pictures on hawker stalls. Beer and... More

We have eaten here three times (so far), and have almost always had a very tasty meal. It is a typical Malay food market, with stalls around the hall selling Malay, Indian, Chinese, Thai and western food. Particularly good are the spring rolls from the Spring Rolls stall (of course), chicken tikka, phad thai, and the pancakes from the Pancake... More

The Long Beach Kafe is the mecca for all hawker food lovers. As expected it can get very busy depending on the time you arrive. We always got there around 7.30pm after this then it can get manic. Once you have found your table then the journey begins (don't forget your table number). We always get our drinks on the... More

It's definitely close by to many resorts and hotels. The food was ok but the wait for food was terribly long! We waited ages for our food. The taste of the food was ok, you can definitely get better tasting and better valued food in Georgetown. However given the location and if you're after some cheaper food options than eating... I went to check this food court when I was there doing some minor shopping. It was reasonably large with a lot of food stalls selling a huge variety of hawker food. There were also ample chairs and tables for guest to sit. There were stalls selling satay, indian food, fried noodles of many varieties ranging from seafood to vegetarian,... More

We first came to Penang 7 years ago and was hoping that Long Beach still existed and we were made up to find it does This place is the best for food in Penang - you have so many different choices of food from around the world and can eat as little or as much as you like - we... More

Very relaxed and casual hawker style market. We ate here most nights of our stay in Batu Ferringhi. Loved trying all the different foods.

Description
Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!
