This food market area has been a favourite of mine for the nearly 20 years that I have been coming to this location. In easy walking distance of the Holiday Inn, where I stay, the atmosphere is frantic with the food stalls gathered around the...More

Ate regularly at Long Beach cafe during our recent holiday. The home made spring rolls, chicken satay and pancakes were particular favourites. Although it’s always busy, the service is quick and friendly.

The price is cheap and the food reflects this. There are some treats to be had here but most of it is very run of the mill and rather bland. There are far better food courts throughout Malaysia so don't expect too much.

Just the best place to eat in the evenings. Don't miss the curries from the Tandoori or try the excellent food at the Kebab Corner. The satay and spring rolls are a must. And don't forget that ice cold Tiger always served with a smile!...More

This is a clean efficient place to experience street food. The satay stand at the left of the food market is kept busy all evening with orders even doing takeaways.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn and frequently ate at Long Beach. It's a typical Malaysian Hawker Food Centre. When you arrive you find a table, then walk around the numerous stalls and order your food, giving them your table number, the food is delivered...More

The quality of the food here is hugely overshadowed by the real deal downtown. Red satay sauce with bugger all peanuts is a first for me and the real assam laska found in Georgetown is astounding. What is served here is sadly lacking. But it'll...More

Amazing, not much else to say. Where can you get freshly cooked food in a few minutes for less than a fiver per couple. You wander in, find a table, order a drink from the incredibly friendly lads, then decide what you fancy to eat...More

Long Beach is a collection of street stalls surrounding the sitting area. It is located outside and offers many cuisines including Malaysian. In the area there are not so many restaurants offering Malay food so I thought it appropiate to add this 'restaurant' to the listings, although most would probably not class it as a conventional one!
