We ate there Dec 26. Classic Yucatan food. Poc chuc great, had better but only at Mani ( Tutul Xiu). Sopa de Lima above average. Pibil stood out. Sauces, condiments, atmosphere best you'll get. One of us ordered the deer dish. Those who liked it, loved it. Others looked at it with trepidation, tried it, and it wasn't bad. If... More

Just returned from a day visit to Izamal. We went to Kinich and had 7 meals plus 2 speciality beers (hot sauce, spices, etc) and 4 regular beers plus a pitcher of Chaya. Our bill, not including tip, was approximately $1,150 pesos. Personally I don't think that's a bad price for what we received. The food was excellent; service was... More

Really only game in town to eat. Food just ok and way overpriced for the region. Staff was very friendly. Typical Mayan food, not really Mexican cuisine.

We loved the setting, the service, the people, the food. Prices we found also reasonable, having in mind all you get. we loved Izamal and would recommend it and this restaurant contributed a lot.

I have to say, after 3 travels to Mexico : I don't like Mexican food very much, sorry. Maybe I was in a good mood, but here, it was tasteful, even the tortillas (that I find usually boring) were special. Definitively the best restaurant I have been during my stay, and in fact my preferred one on 3 travels to... More

As we entered the restaurant lobby, still not sure if we were staying for lunch and only wanting to look over a menu to help us decide, we were presented with a tray of tequila shots of various kinds and told to try one, on the house. Of course we did and discovered this was not cheap tequila at all... More

The place is lovely, great staff and well set out. The menu promises so much with a great range of traditional cuisine. The dishes we ordered were terrible, worst relleno negro I have had and the smoked chorizo left my wife in the toilet vomiting for a few hours.

Nice restaurant in beautiful Izamal. Waiters were all dressed in traditional clothing. Real local dishes, some very good, some a bit scary looking, but great taste. Lots of mosquitos.

The food is the tipical Yucatan food, very good in taste and presentation. The natural sodas or waters are excellent, price is reasonable and the waiters very friendly. The only draw back is that if you are used to fast food, in, served and before you have finished your main course the check is on the table.....well no, especially if... More

After a long drive we finally reached the magical township of Izamal. This is for sure the best restaurant in town. IT is all delicious and splendid. Waiters are to exceed expectations. The downside is that the menu is very limited. I had the deer which was delicous and my girlfriend had the Queso RElleno.
