My friend and I had a nice lunch in the garden which has spectacular views of rye and beyond. We ordered two pies, chicken and steak and ale. The chicken pie was delicious but the steak and ale rather bland and watery sauce.

Dogs on a lead are welcome - can be a bit hectic at weekends for dogs and their owners, bear in mind live music every Sunday 4-6. Regards Ian Mitchell

I read the very bad review left concerning Sunday lunch, I admit I was surprised when I read the review. I used to visit often, and brought a friend this time, last Wednesday, who had never been before, we came for lunch and the food was honestly great! Did you get to the bottom of the problem regarding the Sunday lunch, what was it and has it been rectified? My friend and We are intending to come for Sunday lunch this Sunday as we were so impressed with the food, your staff and the surroundings - we can't wait to repeat the experience.
