How do you start a review of one of the best restaurants in Australia? First up you count yourself lucky you managed to get a table on a Friday night of choice as you watched the booking engine close after 3 minutes. Next is the sensation of slight anxiousness that wow this decor is a bit gloomy and the experience... More

This restaurant makes it very clear that it's focus is on the food. The building is a non-descript shopfront in a suburban street. The room itself (though apparently some remodelling now happening) is black - walls, carpet, ceiling. There isn't a view to speak of. The food - and wine - is the focus here. Which is justified, as the... More

Have wanted to eat here for some time and wow did it deliver befitting its reputation. Food was beautifully crafted, thoughtful without being fussy. Service was divine, attentive and delivered with a touch of humor and just enough familiarity... especially loved the back yard spiders, great touch. Highly recommended dining experience.

My partner and I enjoy fine dining. Attica has a very good reputation and having never been there we were keen to go. As with many well regarded eateries a wait list means booking months in advance. We secured our booking for a weeknight evening. After being welcomed in we waited for some period and finally we were offered water... More

Visited Attica a few days ago. The service was friendly and attentive but not stuffy. The food was well presented and prepared with excellent timing between courses. The wine pairing were not my favorite, but that is personal taste. This really is a once in a live time type of restuarant but if we returned to Melmourne would truely consider... More

I have been wanting to eat there for so many years and it took so long to get a booking. Make sure that you book well in advance. Anyway, it was worth the wait. The experience was amazing. A fabulous degustation menu, attention to detail was amazing. I loved the way they explained everything in detail and the taste sensations... More

We came here for a special occasion birthday and struggled through the onerous booking process. We were hoping it lived up to the hype. Food wise, it definitely did. The food was genuinely beautiful and on a par with Vue de Monde. We had the degustation and it was marvellous, including a somewhat trivial trip to the garden outside to... More

If you had to choose a special place for a celebration or simply to celebrate life, Attica would be the place ! Be prepared to spare for 3 hours or more to be taken on an exceptional palate pleasing journey. The entire evening was a culinary experience of all our senses - sight , sound , taste, smell & touch!... More

This is Australia's Best Restaurant for 2016 (and the World's 33rd Best Restaurant on the San Pelligrino Award 2016) so if you're lucky enough to get a reservation (like what we did) then you must go and experience this excellent restaurant. With a restaurant of this calibre we held high expectations and this then developed into greater anticipation - so... More
