Had a very enjoyable family evening here. The charcoal grilled steaks were absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Would definitely return!

Came here with the family for dinner weren't sure what to expect after the refurb but it was a great night. High standard of food but really miss the Ham hock! The booth was a bit awkward but otherwise food wine and service was great we will return.

Under new management and with a makeover. A new menu, more expensive and too noisy for my liking. We arrived at the appropriate time, our coats were not taken from us, just left lying in our seats. Incorrect cutlery with our starters, forgot our side orders with mains and what's with the deserts. No Brown Bread Ice Cream !!!! This... More

This was our favourite place to go to but not now since it was renovated. We stopped in for a drink and a meal but decided to leave. This spot used to be buzzing with customers but when we arrived there was empty tables. We were told you have to book but we were brought up stairs, again empty tables .I... More

Have been frequenting this food heaven for years. Whether your visit's for a pint, a coffee, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner you won't be disappointed. Atmosphere always seems to be right... staff are for the most part genuinely interested in serving you.

Was here twice in December and had the Quinoa,Feta and Basil cakes both times. Amazing. The bread and butter pudding is a meal in itself and absolutely to die for, ask for the brown bread ice cream on the side and fall into a food coma. A little slow on the service but the food is top notch.

Visited 30 Dec 2016. So farewell then Joe, you did the area some service. Farewell also our beloved Pork Knuckle (Schweinshaxe). My ultimate comfort food, deliciously tender slow roasted pork knuckle with perfectly crispy crackling. Seems I'll have to travel further afield (probably Dusseldorf or Koln) to get this level of perfection in the future. Ah well, time to move... More

I've visited here a number of times with wife and also with my family. And today we drove the 45 minute journey to the far side of Dublin just to have their cod and chips. No we're not nuts - it's that good! As usual, it was unpretentious but excellent. Anyone who loves food loves to see apparently simple dishes... More

I have eaten here on many occasions and each time, the food has been delicious! The service is also always excellent. The staff are so so friendly. It is a great place to go if you are coeliac, as they have plenty of gluten free options
