I had the daily special with pasta, avocado, some peas, rucola salad, ... And my friend had some smoked tofu with broccoli and red bete, ... All was delicious, and a bit too much for or stomachs... as often in New Zealand, so no dessert! :-/

An interesting menu, but not good value for money. $45 for a very average piece of steak, for example. Wines only priced by the bottle, and worked out at about $14 a glass. Tables unable to be moved if you have more than four in your group.

This restaurant is a fine example of the legendary Kiwi hospitality. Food was delicious with attention to the small details like squid ink sourdough with pesto. The wine card is the best in town, "by the glass"selection is massive and allows you to experience New Zealand's hidden gems. No wonders you might find the wine makers themselves sitting at the... Owner was grumpy, food was very over priced and limited, chairs were uncomfortable and the tables were bolted to the ground! The only starter was bruchetta... Too bad if you don't want bread. Only saving grace was the lovely waitress.

We visited twice in our recent trip to Wanaka. This quirky restaurant is super casual serving great honest food with a wine list which is possibly the best in town. We love it here and always have a very enjoyable evening. Be sure to book as it is busy with the locals.

We visited with 3 families (6 adults, 6 young kids). The room and atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and we didn't feel any judgement on the kids (who were being a little testing and loud). The food and wine was absolutely spot on! No complaints from any of the meals ordered. If we are back... More

We were there by winter. Place was cold because the owner (who was there) wants to save money (he was with his jacket on inside the restaurant). Food like what you can get in a pub but paying 3x. Steak cost 45 dollars and was just a regular one and overcooked while I asked it medium-rare. My wife ordered farfalle... More

Recommended by a local friend - 8 of us went for dinner. Not very bog - bottom floor of an old house. Not ideal for a group that wants to sit together, because the tables only seat 2-4 and they are 'nailed down' to the floor!! so you can't join them together. Chairs move around fine :) Changing and relatively... More

This place is divine, interesting decor and conversation with the owner. But the food is amazing - I had the haloumi salad. It is great to sit outside on a summer day. Would 100% recommend!

Being a temporary local we found this place and it is a gem. Not pretentious and consistently delivering excellent and innovative food. Will definitely go back again !!!
