We dinned twice in five days at what is probably the best authentic seafood restaurant in Ngapali Beach. The restaurant is open air, brightly lit, clean and attractive – This family owned and operated restaurant has been in business some 15 plus years. Managed by...the father who’s assists in menu recommendations and is accompanied by his two daughters who wait the tables with friendly comradery combined with authentic delicious local sea food choices make dining here a must when visiting Ngapali Beach. Try the Tea Leaf Salad, an authentic Burmese appetizer it is to die for. Over two nights we managed to order prawn dishes, the freshwater and salt water lobster and found all dishes cooked and served with traditional Burmese fare an absolute treat to the palette. Golden Seafood Restaurant served up the best food we would have in all of Myanmar – A visit here when in Ngapali Beach is a must!More

We booked a table the day before and arrived on time for dinner only to be told our table had not been kept. All the owner would say was " what could I do, other people arrived". He actually wanted us to feel sorry for...him! No point at all in booking a table at this poorly run restaurant. Can not comment on the quality of the food as we never got a chance to try it.More

We had a memorable time in this restaurant! We went here for dinner on our last night in Ngapali, based on the recommendation of the guy who led us on our snorkeling boat trip. We were really glad we did, the curry crab was absolutely...delicious (not only the fish itself, but also the curry, which pushed us to eat much more rice than we expected! :) ) So was also the avocado with peanuts salad and the shrimp and squid salad (squid was soft and not chewy at all). We also received complimentary fruit salad and tea leaf salad. Owners and waiters were incredibly attentive and kind. We were so enthusiastic in fact that the next day we decided to go back for an early lunch before our bus and to splurge on a lobster. We got two smaller lobsters with butter and garlic for the price of one, because on that day the catches had been on the smallish side. In any event, they were delicious. The owner surprised us again with his kindness when we asked him to pack a doggy bag for the complimentary fruits he'd brought due to the fact that we were late for the bus pick up. He prepared an additional bag for us to carry away. Can only highly recommend this place!More
