I know Eli's is a Cincinnati favorite but it's just not really for me. The atmosphere is great-outdoor picnic tables, lots of people, everyone just hanging out. And you can BYOB. There is indoor seating but it's very small. The food was good. Very limited menu but I think that's necessary for a restaurant like this. A negative is if... More

Eli's Barbecue can be easily missed (with just a simple black sign of a pig just above the door) unless you're looking for it. Eli's has just a few dishes that include pork, turkey, and hot dogs (my favorite is the pulled pork). Sides include baked beans (try them "dirty" with bacon bits), cole slaw, mashed potatoes, jalapeno cornbread, and... More

good barbeque But the vibe is a lot of fun. Bring your own bottle and sit outside on the picnic benches makes it seem like a party all the time. The only problem is it can be a long wait for something that has already been cooked for hours in the smoker.

Obliviously Eli's ribs aren't kosher, calories aren't listed, and it's always crowded. But the ribs are truly delicious and the sides are very popular. It seems that every major city has a foundation restaurant chain like Buddy's Pizza in Detroit. Cincinnati's foundation chain is known as a rib king. Along comes Eli's to successfully challenge the king. If you come... More

For those of us who live on this side of town Eli's is a place we aspire to get into. It is almost always crowded to a point that you can't find a place to sit down and eat. It is that good! Some friends of ours suggested that we get take out. We figured that the reason to go... More

The outside is not much...but step inside. It's a killer BBQ place. Meat market downstairs and the kitchen..some dining,,some outside dining....but the entire second floor is dining. And the owner is pure Australian...he is the real McCoy....as friendly and informative as he could be. He's a giant of an Australian. The staff is very friendly....not snooty like some other BBQ... We recently chose Eli's for an early dinner on a recommendation of friends. This was our first Eli's experience. Eli's is a classic BBQ eatery with wonderful BBQ ambiance. Our sandwiches of turkey and pulled pork lived up to Eli's reputation. However, our sides were quite disappointing. I'm a big Mac n Cheese fan with BBQ. Along with our friends... More

by far my favorite place to eat in Cincinnati on a sunny day. The atmosphere is amazing, the ribs are even better.

The brisket and ribs are the best. They don't skimp on the sided either. Baked beans, corn bread. Good southern food. Kansas style BBQ sauce. You'll be back.

This is a pretty unique spot. Almost felt like a family reunion with 20 families in the same spot. We arrived on a Saturday night before the big crowd and waited about an hour for food. The wait increased to 110 minutes for others. They just couldn't keep up with demand but everyone was happy to wait! The food was... More
