The Mooring proved to be THE place in Newport; very popular, with a good reason. The lively ambiance well supported some excellent oysters, and seafood. Go for it!

Perfectly cooked filet mignon. Fork tender, didn't really need the knife that was supplied. And the Uptown salad was excellent as the seafood was cooked correctly!

This is a very nice, attractive, ocean-side restaurant.. We all had lots of plump and briny oysters. I then followed with the swordfish, which was one of the best I have ever had. It was nice and thick, flaky, moist and succculent. All in all...More

Honestly there loads of them. Do you want a bed and breakfast or large hotel? The only really large hotel on the island is the Marriott. It is a great place (we stayed there for our wedding).

I am not sure about the brunch menu as we were there for a late afternoon lunch. The view is outstanding, maybe calling ahead will give you an idea of the brunch menu items.
