Mexican restaurant in an old house. Funky vibe, great margaritas, awesome patio, secluded but in the midst of it all. Great food!

Been here a few times - I would say go to Perro Salado proper rather than this place. Can't say anything "bad" necessarily it's just not the whole experience and the prices arent' cheaper than a real sit down meal. PLUS I think the food is better at Perro.

Dinned here recently for lunch. I had their daily empanada special which was really yummy, I also thought I should try the tacos so I tried a chicken tinga and carnitas. The chicken tinga was a lot drier than I am used to (granted, I just moved from So. Cal. so I have high expectations for Mexican) and the tortilla... More

We stopped here for lunch take out and loved our burritos. We had the short rib one and it was delicious. I also had a blood orange fizzy drink that was very good!

It's a cool little spot to grab lunch. It's inexpensive in my opinion as one of their chicken tacos which is about $3 fills me right up. It is a bit dark and quiet but it's a great environment to get away from the business of Thames. I stop by maybe once a month or every other month when I... More

It's easy to miss this lunch-only taqueria, which sits below street level, but it's definitely worth a trip. While the service was a little slow (the guy working at the counter couldn't even take our order until he finished fixing someone else's food), the food is extremely reasonable in price and outstanding in quality. I had the chorizo and potato... More

Had the pork n braised beef tacos. They looked good but had no taste after the first bite. Taco bell is better place to eat at. Avocado fries were burnt. I think the just reheated them because we got our food in less then 5 mins.

El Perrito is on 190 Thames St. Very easy to miss them as they are at ground (garden) level. I would not have spotted them had I not seen a family sitting at their outside counter . They have a menu placed outside which really helps. We had been eating at all the other places where a dinner for 2... More
