Chef's is like an old, familiar friend. I know that there are sometimes differing opinions on such a venerable and durable institution, but I am most definitely in the "Love it" camp. My favorite dish is the boneless chicken cacciatore. Wonderful, tender chunks of chicken...More

I have been coming to Chef's my entire life (59 years) and the food quality, atmosphere, and customer service are the very best in Buffalo. There lunch time specials usually with an Italian theme are quality, usually served up with a delicious plate of pasta....More

Had a wonderful lunch with my sister. Food and service were very good. Only negative part was the salad. ordered a side salad which was just iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes and croutons. WAY overpriced!! Will never get again.

I've been to Chef's several times within the past few years. My opinion on the restaurant was that "it was nothing special" and there are better places for Italian food and one of them is my own kitchen. My most recent visit was a few...More

I had chicken parmigiana. Chicken was a little dry. Spaghetti sauce is very good. Pasta was okay. My husband had veal scaloppine. He was not a fan. Portions are average. Large room. Nice, cozy atmosphere.

Great place, great food - and undeniably one of Buffalo's hallmark Italian cuisine go-to places. However, if you want very similar Italian food just as good, with an atmosphere much less busy and better prices - try DiTondo's restaurant just down the street a click.

Visited with friends. They are known for their sauce. It was good but a little too sweet. Perfectly cooked pasta, terrific rigatoni. Meat ball was hard packed and somehow didn't feel handmade. Bread is great..service harried. The place is huge. Veal,Parm went back was gristly...More

Old fashioned Italian joint that is very warm and friendly. Nice selection of menu items. The baked spaghetti Parmesan with meatballs was delicious. I like the fact that you can size the pasta dishes based on your appetite.

Chef's spaghetti parmesan is delicious with its thick layer of cheese and excellent sauce. The meatballs are dense and as much as I would like to eat more than one, I couldn't. The bread was my definite downfall! I wanted to eat just one piece...More
