Love this little place!

Mary's is a little mom and pop place, it's on the way out of town on 89 north. They are open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, the cinnamon rolls are huge and they sell to go as well. We have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed, burgers are always good, my husband loves there clubs and they are huge!! They serve homemade fries which are very good as well, it's all comfort food and everything is made to order, so expect to wait a few for your food . We live out of town so when we get the chance to come to Flagstaff we try eating here at least once. Nice small family cafe with good food and good prices!

It’s worth your while!

We were getting ready to make the switch to the I 40 Junction heading down south towards Phoenix but wanted some breakfast and happened upon Marys Café. We both ordered the traditional American breakfast and it was wonderful. I asked for the biscuits and gravy and the biscuit was as big as my hand from fingertip to wrist! Also if you order the giant cinnamon roll, be forewarned the word giant is not correct. Humongous is more like it! So to sum it up - really good food, big portions and friendly attentive service make this worth your while.

Mary’s Cafe is Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives worthy!!

After spending all day visiting and hiking at the Wupatki and Sunset Crater Volcano National Monuments, we were tired and very hungry. We used Trip Advisor to find a list of restaurants close by. Mary’s Cafe came up with a 4.5 rating. We knew it was a diner serving primarily American fare. We love Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It sounded like Mary’s fit the mold, so we gave it a try. Wow, what a find! Mary’s is nothing to look at outside, but what you get inside is excellent food at reasonable prices with excellent service (Adriana took care of us). My wife had an order of hot sweet pulled BBQ pork cheese nachos and I had a cube steak sandwich with hand cut Parmesan cheese fries. Both were outstanding! The sandwich was just enough to satisfy my hunger. The serving of nachos was huge and delicious! This place would do well on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! Guy needs to make another trip to Flagstaff

What a great find! I can see why the locals frequent this place. Everything that we ordered was very good, large portions, great service and the prices are very reasonable. And by the way they have a cinnamon bun that looked unbelievable but unfortunately we resisted the temptation!

I had the country bowl and it was yummy comfort food. My husband had the Friday special of fish and chips he thought it was ok. His fries were hand cut and delicious. Our waitress, Dana was sweet and on top of things. Only drawback was restaurant was very warm.

Great breakfast and can order lunch as well

1st day in Flagstaff and looking for a local place to eat. Found Marys and thought we would give it a try. More food than you can eat and great selection. Some of us ate breakfast and some lunch. The cinnamon bun French toast is yummy and the pulled pork sweet heat I would put up against any SC BBQ. Definitely a winner, Waitress was polite and kept the glasses full.

Close Mary's Cafe-horrible food at maximum price

This place should be closed!! They don't even know what a poached egg is! None of our food was cooked right and we still had to pay full price. The hash browns were soggy and just shredded potatoes really. The ham was mostly fat. The radio blasting was a special touch and had to ask to get it turned down. I could hardly think about what I wanted to talk about with my friend. I ended up with an anxiety attack, with the owner complaining how they can't find good help (from across the room with another customer trying to enjoy their meal right next to the owner.) This place should be closed if they can not find the help that they need. Very unprofessional to have us pay for food that was horrible, and complaining to the customers. I'll make sure to spread the word about my experience today!

Great food and atmosphere!!!!

Simple old fashioned place with American spirit . If you search for good and satisfying American food , this place is for you. You know, those cafe's like in the movies , where waitress will call you " sweetheart ", burgers will be large and made of beef , and coffee as much as you want. Loved this place.

On way to Grand Canyon

Around 1030 am on Tues "sit anywhere you'd like". Wife had made to order omelet, good later told me something off with the flavor of the eggs. I had my usual, 2 over easy, hash browns, and chorizo sausage that really jazzed up the meal (mod spicy). Service excellent!

Spacious restaurant, wide menu, average food

The service was prompt, friendly and excellent. The ambiance was fine. The quality of the food was only average. The menu is wide-ranging menu but the food seemed reheated. My brisket was likely precooked and then defrosted. My husband’s green beans were canned. My husband’s baked beans were canned. My salad was very large and very fresh but was almost all iceberg lettuce. I am not sure how my mashed potatoes were made. I was happy to get free refills on hot cocoa and lemonade. The menu has some fun things like a boozy milkshake. The restaurant is huge. It has a dance floor and a pool table. There is a large outdoor patio in back away from the street noise. The cafe is next door to a Conoco gas station which serves as a truck stop and probably allows overnight parking for semis.

We just left Mary’s Cafe and couldn’t be any happier. The cafe was super clean and adorable. The waitstaff was friendly and a hoot. We had the chicken fried steak and Navajo taco. Both were filling and delicious! For desert we had the homemade biscuit and jelly. My husband made the comment that it reminded him of his grandmothers biscuits. I’ve never heard him say that in the 14 years we’ve been together. If you get a chance, stop in for a bite. You won’t be disappointed.

Great BBQ brisket sandwiches but offset by terrible service.

Those 2 girls must be relatives, no check back on how food was or refill on drinks. Just there to talk to each other, eat and check the mirror. The last straw was not even a Thank you of any kind when returning our change. Nothing! Only 1 other couple in there around 1pm. Grow up girls and have some pride in your job.

Truckers deserve cleaner place.

Convenient parking for RV which is why we ate there. Charming young waitress deserves a better environment. Average food at reasonable prices. Adjoining noisy bar and no music to soften the sounds. Why the two stars? Not very clean or kept up. Dirtiest restroom I’ve seen since 1960.

Huge cinnamon roll!

We stopped by Mary’s cafe to try their cinnamon rolls. It was probably 8-inches in diameter and covered in icing. It was really good. I also had a homemade biscuit. It was also good. The service was good and the restaurant was very clean.

There is a reason this cafe has been on business this long. Generous portions, good prices, decent service. Was a little slow coming out of the kitchen. Try the wrangler burger. Better have a big appetite
