The Grand Canyon Cafe serves great Chinese food. It has extra large servings. Any and all Chinese food is served from their large menu. They also serve the very best 'Chicken Fried Steak' I have eaten anywhere in the world !

This place has super friendly staff, amazing art and architecture, and the waitress even meowed at my 3yo niece who decided to be a puppy. The food has a Mexican flare and was incredible, not just the same cheese on the same old three base ingredients. Highly recommend!

If you're expecting something modern with a funky menu, then don't bother. If you want to experience some of the history of Rte 66 then it's perfect. The menu consists of hamburgers, and true Americana food (even liver and onions) as well as great Chinese food! Flagstaff was/is a Railroad town and most of it was built with Chinese labor.... More

This restaurant has been in business for 70 years for a reason. Same family has owned it. Terrific, quality food. Prices are incredibly reasonable. Staff and owners are very nice.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful breakfast of an extra large omelet. Reminiscent of the Woolworth's counter and booths! There were even the old tabletop selector for the juke box. The daily regulars were venturing out when we came in for a late breakfast before moving on ourselves. Cost was as friendly as the folks around a us. Highly recommend... More

I live this place! I always stop in and order chinese food when I am visiting Flagstaff. They have a very friendly staff and the eggs rolls are different and tasty as well.

I Don't believe the menu has changed much in the last 1/2 century, other than the portions shrinking to a fraction of their former size. However. This is a family run business and as such, should be supported. Don't look too closely around because you might sense that it is worn out. Tired looking. Inattentive staff and owners. The owner... There is certainly NOTHING fancy about this restaurant. No Michelin Stars or rave reviews from the TV networks. But the portions were huge. The Chicken fried steak was very good and the people friendly. I'm an old guy so I tend to wax nostalgic about places like this. Reminds me of places I grew up visiting in Western PA.

We came in for a Saturday evening dinner. The fried chicken and fried fish were good. The salad was some iceberg lettuce served with packets of dressing. The soup was fine. Note that the place offers soup out of a can if you don't want the soup of the day -- a throwback to the 1950s. The meals came with... More
