The g/f and I were town for the weekend so we decided to stop here since she enjoyed the Glendale location. The parking lot in front of the place is small but there is a bigger lot located on the street next to the building. You walk in and it feels almost if you were in someone's home. The menu is simple but that isn't a bad thing as it isn't overrun with a huge array of choices. I opted for the meat an eggs breakfast while she had a pancake with some sides. I enjoyed my breakfast as everything was quite good. She thought her pancake was a bit bland even though it was huge and she did enjoy the hash browns and bacon she ordered along with it. The service was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and give the place yet another try.

We have always enjoyed breakfast at The Place but were very disapointed with our late lunch/early experience. I ordered the 4 piece fried chicken dinner. First of all there was no wing but a very small piece cut from the back of the chicken the leg looked like it was off of a large Cornish game hen. The overall look was that it was way over cooked and thatc was correct. I could have used a hammer to break the crust to get to the overcooked meat. My husband ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich his chicken piece was stringy and chewy. Think we will stick to breakfast when visiting in Flagstaff the next time.

This diner is a local eat place. Went there for early supper and was very surprised that they serve many different types of dishes. They specialize in breakfast and if you can not find what you like from the menu, you have no desire to eat. I had the daily special, pepper steak and the wife had two large grill pork chops. Both dishers were really tasty. The amount of food was more than enough, watched other customers bring food home.
I differently would recommend this little diner. I'm a foodie from Louisiana and I know good food when I see it. And the cost was perfect.

I asked for my hash browns to be crisp. They were served white. Barely cooked let alone crisp. After waiting 10 minutes while my meal got cold they arrived deep fried and overcooked. The manager was of no help and wanted to comp the meal that I only half ate because of this situation. Lost my appetite and was not an enjoyable situation at all. Never in my life had I’ve been told that unable to crisp my potatoes and then asked to leave. Manager was rude to me like I’d asked too much of her Waitress and her cooks.

We visited here 4 years ago and loved it. Came back to the area and made it a point to stop here to eat. I ordered the 5 chicken strips dinner for $12.30. The chicken strips are commodity chicken strips with instant mashed potatoes. Another meal my family ordered was the 4 piece chicken and the pieces of meat were tiny. Maybe it was a very off night for them.

We are a retired couple who travel the country. As we go from place to place we look for local small places to eat. We found "The Place". We have been in Flagstaff about a month now and have been going here for breakfast most everyday. The food is good, portions are fair. It seems like every other day prices are different. When questioned, we're told prices just went up. My wife orders oatmeal with cinnamon. Cinnamon costs an extra 35 cents for a tiny little cup. Today we're told it's 90 cents for the same little cup. Why is cinnamon even an extra charge? Guess we find a place that doesn't change prices whenever they feel like it.

Stopped for breakfast on a Saturday morning. No wait to be seated, unusual considering it was breakfast time on a Saturday morning. We were seated immediately and coffee was served. Server was friendly.
We ordered a waffle breakfast and a pancake breakfast. The waffle was very cold when served, so I asked to have it nuked. It came back warm, but now soggy. I was offered a new waffle, but at that point I didn't want to wait for another. Pancakes were tasteless and dry. Bacon was good, over easy eggs were closer to over hard.
Won't go there again.

My family went for breakfast. The food was not very good. No taste and the service sucks. When we pay our bill the cashier who ring us up over charge us, we paid $61. The meal we order worth $48 dollars with tax maybe somewhere around $52.00. Went back to him and asked him for the receipt, said he can’t print the receipt because we paid cash. I told him how much our meal worth. He respond to me with tax it will be that total. $13 dollar over charge.
Don’t waste your money in this restaurant.

Very disappointing meals. Sirloin steak was very fatty and had virtually no flavor. The 3 salads had wilted lettuce. The hamburger was not prepared as ordered, sent back. Second one did not look as ordered (medium rare) and when tasted, it was watery and did not taste like beef hamburger. As much as we like to support local restaurants, I would advise you to avoid this place.

Found this place by accident but was pleasantly surprised. While traveling through Flagstaff was searching for somewhere to get something that everybody would enjoy that was not changed. Stumbled across this restaurant in searching. Everyone enjoyed their meal staff was courteous restaurant was very clean. Very hometown cooking nothing we tried with that.

My wife and I have been trying different restaurants in Flagstaff for breakfast for the past few months. As of yesterday our search has ended. Without a doubt the best breakfast we have had in Flagstaff. This was our first time eating here. Our server was Lacey (not sure of spelling) and she was terrific. She told us some of the different choices and what she thought we would like. I had the chicken fried steak and potatoes and it was excellent. She also told me the biscuits were huge and she was correct. I took one home because I could not finish more than one. My wife decided on a cheese burger and went with the Jr. size. Lacey told us the burgers were good size and the Jr. Would probably be better for her. Again it was just right for my wife. The burger was very juicy and tasty. Coffee was very good as well and they never let the cup go empty.
All in all a great meal with excellent service. Can't wait to go back again.

I have ate at this restaurant numerous times always busy. They have good portions especially for breakfast which includes a generous biscuit and gravy portion. Lunch and dinner are sometimes hit and miss. I have had to return items for one reason or another play it safe and order a hamburger or something standard on the menu. Sometimes the fried items tend to be too greasy so stick to the grilled items unless you enjoy greasy food. Good place to eat breakfast or have a burger.

No longer what it used to be. Rib-eye steak was half fat with no seasoning at all. No salt on fries - that are obviously from a food service and not freshly cut. All an issue because this was delivery to a hotel. Plus, no plastic ware, napkins, or ketchup. I used to love the place, but it is no longer the place.

The hungry man breakfast is huge. The wife and I split it and still needed a togo box. The bacon is extra thick and great flavor.
The waitresses are very friendly and they work well together

Beware- generous portions! Paul Bunyan size biscuits; a nice change from toast. Helpful, friendly staff. It was fun watching them all work together, supporting on another. Fast service. My omelet was not over cooked and my husband enjoyed the corned beef hash and eggs.
