Classic steakhouse with very good selection of beef. Shared the 38-ounce Porterhouse, served Tuscan style. Very tasty. Wine selection was a little weak with limited choices and some outdated vintages. Cocktails were great, though. Go for the steak, not the wine!

We were pleasantly surprised when a customer recommended this restaurant in downtown Scranton. A member of the Luger family, renowned for great steakhouses, delivers nicely. In a rather spartan atmosphere, the quality of food is stellar and reasonably priced. Don't expect world class service (although our service was very good, just a little more like a lower end establishment) with... More

Perfectly cooked Prime Steaks as well as great seafood items on the menu. Steaks served in the style of the famous Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn. The oysters are always fresh, and don't miss trying the slab bacon or their delicious Cherry Manhattans.

The food and service were good although it seemed very expensive. The place though, needs a makeover to command such prices and it felt a little like a 1980's office. With that I would have probably given it a 5.

Stay downtown and walk to this cozy little restaurant off the town square. Though this is a steakhouse I was dining with work colleagues so they we went cheap, I have the chicken marsala and it was excellent, other colleagues have the chicken Parm and they also said it was very good next time I am in town I definitely... The food quality is good but for the prices it should be great. They should think less of the profit margins and strive to buy the absolute best cuts they can. They have so much going for them and all they need to do is step up the buying a little better.

We enjoyed a great Saturday night dinner while in Scranton en route elsewhere...Carl Von Lugers was recommended by the staff at Terra Preta (a sister restaurant), and it didn't disappoint. Good old standard steakhouse Chopped Salad, delicious Balsamic Sea Scallops and Veal Medallions. Creamy, tasty mashied potatoes - one with roasted red peppers! And two of the BEST Perfect Manhattans... More

Took my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was absolutely scrumptious. My wife and I had Prime Ribeye Steaks, bone in, dry aged. We could have cut the steaks cooked rare w a butter knife. Absolutely awesome! Yummy!!! It did go with a few glitches though is the only reason I did not rate a 5 star. My wife... More
