Our party was at the Mimslyn Inn for the weekend, but because of a local wedding party our Saturday night dinner venue changed from Circa 31 to downstairs in the Speakeasy. Though we have stayed at the Mimslyn before, this was the first time eating at the Speakeasy. I chose the meatloaf which was delightful. The mashed potatoes were from... More

I hardly write reviews, unless my experience is awesome or really awful. We just visited the Speakeasy Bar when we stayed here for the weekend. The waitress was pleasant, no complaints there. My husband and I both ordered the beef wellington. It tasted ok, nothing to write home about. HOWEVER, halfway through my meal, I swallowed something that got caught in... More

Had dinner upon arrival for a business trip and had the burger of the day. We had a table of about 20 people and the food came out on time and exactly how I asked. The burger was so good!!! They also had local brewed beers that were very tasty!!!

The staff was very nice. The menu is for guests with an open minded palette. The apple bread pudding is fantastic paired with ice cream.

Great menu that changes seasonally with a great selection of both beer and wine. Some nights with entertainment. Great atmosphere to relax in but is also fine for children in the early evening.

When passing through the Shenandoah Valley The Speakeasy is a great place to stop for dinner! The Shrimp n' Grits and Fried Beef Wellington are personal favorites of mine. All of the staff are friendly and go above and beyond. You can dine inside or on the porch. Make sure to enjoy one of their craft beers or a Moscow... More

Whenever I'm in Luray I make it a point to eat at the Speakeasy or at least stop by for a drink. Last night I tried a Kentucky Mule (like the Moscow variety, but with bourbon instead of vodka) and it was delicious! Shrimp and grits for dinner was also delicious. Must remember to leave room for dessert next time... More

My husband and I had dinner at the Speakeasy after visiting the Luray caverns. The atmosphere is very nice with a large bar area and ample seating for dinner. The wait staff were very friendly, however our waitress did not tell us about the happy hour specials- my husband loved the reubin appetizers they were delicious-hamburgers were also good. Prices... We did not get a chance to eat here but both nights of our visit we slipped down to the Speak Easy to enjoy live entertainment and drinks. The atmosphere is great, the staff was very friendly, and they had a large selection of drinks! We will definitely be back to sample their food next time!
