Had dinner at this smallish but powerful restaurant in mid-September; it has been the recipient of several James Beard Awards. There were a number of choices, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had the Tapa de la Casa with manzanilla green olives, fried marcona almonds,...More

Very nice restaurant - actually it was one of the best dinner we had in SantaFe. The highlight is the Paella which was excellent.

It was my brother in laws birthday. We had just viewed the full moon/lunar eclipse/blood moon and we were ready for a special meal. Our original reservation was for six, two more people wanted to join us and the restaurant was very accommodating. Every dish...More

I have had a hard time finding higher quality food in the southwest without being stuffy. The tapas were very nice, and I specifically avoided the paella as previous reviews have cautioned. The wine/beer list was nice and the live band was fantastic! The sardines...More

What a disappointment. I echo everything a recent reviewer stated. The octopus was awful. Rubbery, dry and tasteless. In my travels to Spain. And to stateside Spanish restaurants I've never seen this presented as one entire tentacle. The traditional Galician fashion is to cut into...More

Spending the long weekend in Santa Fe for the Wine and Chile Fest, we made La Boca one of our stops based on what we thought was a trending reputation, what we experienced on a Friday night was surprisingly awry. La Boca is a Tapas...More

A nice place for lunch or dinner, this is place is I'm told owned by the same owner as Taverna. The prices are a little cheaper here, and the menu is completely different. The food is very good, and the place is usually busy, so...More

La Boca outward appearance does not have much that would draw you in. Too bad. Because you may miss one of your best meals in Santa Fe. This mainstay restaurant can be crowed at times. I would invite you to go just around the corner...More

We have eaten at La Boca three times in the last four days, once for a fabulous dinner and twice more for dessert (the Gateau Basque and Susana Torrantes sherry). The place is small but the food and service are wonderful. We called for reservations...More

I don't know about the tasting menu, we had dinner there once in May and it was wonderful. I don't think you can go wrong here. Make sure you have a reservation.

Opened in 2006 by 8 time James Beard Award Nominee, Chef James Campbell Caruso.
La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Mediterranean and South American wines. Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide customers to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Cadiz in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez.
Full to capacity almost every night since its opening, La Boca has been a hit with both locals and the world travelers that visit Santa Fe. La Boca has earned numerous awards both local and national, including the Santa Fe Reporter’s “Restaurant of the Year,” and the International Wine and Food Society’s “Award of Excellence.”
