The music here is terrific, the musician engages the crowd. It's a fun evening except it ends very early. If the bartender is on the mic, you'll be waiting a long while for a drink ...

This was always a great local restaurant and wonderful piano bar..and it still is, but some changes have been made but def for the locals and people that come here for the summer during opera season not for the better. My boyfriend and I ate...More
Vanessie is the place. Excellent food. Attentive service. Charming atmosphere. Go early to catch the fantastic piano stylings of Doug Montgomery in the bar. He's a SF institution himself. A varied menu with excellent steaks and grill. After dinner, indulge in a Coffee Wonderful along...More
We were there with two other couples to celebrate New Years Eve 2015. Therefore, it was a special fixed price menu which included dessert and champagne at midnight along with a seat at their famous piano bar. The food was delicious. It was a lovely...More
We found this great little place through an online site, setting up dinner short notice for a small group. It proved to be one of the top evenings we've had in Santa Fe in the many years we've patronized restaurants in this area. We started...More
I made online reservations at Vanessie for our anniversary. A phone call got us to the right building (the adjacent two are part of the Inn, apparently), and we entered the large piano bar. After some awkward moments of waiting and looking around, we spied...More
We go to the Piano Bar when we go to Vanessie's. Doug Montgomery is great on the piano. Wait staff could be more attentive but food is good.

If you are into piano bars, or want live music, get yourself over to the Vanessie Piano Bar. Decent wine list, average food but Doug Montgomery at the keyboard is the real reason to go. Truly a delight.
Advertised Piano Bar. Musician was far too found of himself, not the music. Bartender too busy talking to other staff to handle his 4 bar customers in a timely manner. Was a real turn off. Went to eat. Had one drink and left.
