We planned to eat at El Meson on a Tuesday to watch the dancers. These were true professionals who were a joy to watch! Before we knew it, several couples of customers joined the pros on the dance floor and had decent moves of their own! This is an older crowd as is much of Santa Fe. That being said,... More

Just a block off of the Santa Fe plaza and is only open for dinner. Very good tapas and paella and an extensive wine list. There are to parts to the place- the restaurant portion and a bar/stage area where they have guitar players and sometimes flamenco dancers.

Came for Flamenco Dancers and it was by far one of my favorites, they sat us with another couple who were fun and interesting. I always go to another place to eat but next time i will be trying El Meson.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this Spanish tapas restaurant. We tried about 8 different dishes. There was a great variety!

After relishing numerous Northern New Mexican restaurant dishes during a recent stay in Santa Fe, El Meson was a perfect antidote. My three kids (ages 16 to 21, one a vegetarian) and I always enjoy Spanish tapas, and we weren't disappointed, ordering a steady stream of plates. Though the place was quite busy, service was pleasant, dishes came out quickly,... More

Two couples had a late dinner at El Mason. We had a delightful evening. We had a great, inexpensive bottle of Tempranillo wine. Then, each couple order a few Tapas plates to share. We both started with the 4 cheese salad. It was outstanding! We then had the blue cheese croquettes which were just okay, not real tasty. We had... More

Second time at El Meson and we will return! Our friends were enthusiastic also. We really love the Tapas in Spain and at El Meson, you can get a taste of it. Everything we had was delicious. And they just have the best waiters: Quick, nice, funny, attentive. A small disappointment this time has been the dessert menu. I assume... More

El Meson has been on our list of restaurants to try since we moved to the area almost two years ago. We heard mixed reviews from our acquaintances and finally made reservations joined by another couple from the Netherlands. The food was good, the service was good but we expected more "Spain." The restaurant was furnished in heavy, rustic and... More

El Meson is two restaurants. One side is a normal restaurant; the other is the bar with a jazz stage, and that is where I go. Best to reserve a table for jazz nights. I've been there three times, and the tapas, wine and jazz were all outstanding.

We were recommended El Meson on a spontaneous meeting on a chairlift in Taos, for our one night stay in Santa Fe. We booked in advance, which was also recommended. A lovely place, with an open bar on one side, and live music, and a more secluded restaurant area in a room on the other side. It had been a... More
