It's worth the wait and I've been waiting for over a year. Were glad there back. I would disregard the questionable reviews as they just opened and as with everything they are working out the kinks and doing a great job with the process. Fair...More

With all of the reviews I was expecting awesome. We got good for the most part. Disappointed in the French toast. I chose the orange poppyseed and it was dry and I had a hard time swallowing it. The bakery basket was very good and...More

This restaurant had moved just the week we were there and still the service was great and the food was delicious! The meal began with a bread basket for each of us which had two biscuits, a cinnnamon roll, and a corn muffin...almost enough for...More

Tecolote just reopened 2 days before our visit. It had been closed for 14 months after a forced closure due to lease issues. They took their time to reopen, moving into a strip center and creating a surprisingly large space. We got in just before...More

Sitting at the long bar by myself, I was happy to see the old favorites. The bakery basket is a dream and the sheepherder dish is a spicy as ever with a set of over easy eggs. Coffee is strong and plentiful. A bit of...More

Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business. Sadly we also lost Ms.Alice in December of 2012. We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.
