I had the Shepherder's Breakfast! Wonderful food with a nice atmosphere and customer service. The bakery basket to start was great with a nice cup of coffee.

We arrived at Tecolote Cafe between 10 and 11 am on a Saturday and we did have to wait about 30 minutes for a table. There is a pleasant store beside the cafe to browse to help pass the time (and I bought two decorations for my patio). Once seated, we were happy to see an extensive menu including NM... More

Ate here three times! Ordered the Eggs Benedict-awesome. The Combination plate-excellent red chili. And the Feta Cheese omelet-they are generous with the cheese,so good! As always, the bread basket was hot an fresh! Spoke with the owners son in law, he said they are being evicted by owner who wants to rebuild or level the place for parking. So by... More

My husband and I stopped at this place based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Get there early as it is very crowded ~9am or later. Note they have couple communal tables so if you lucky and not picky you could get get added to other folks at such table. Worked perfectly for us as we were in hurry.... More

On my way to Chimayo I noticed Tecolote and the line out the door; when I returned around noon, I noticed Tecolote and the line of people waiting. After finishing an errand and starving I returned...it was about 1:20 (they close at 2:00) and there was still a line...wait or not, I was going to try this place! Since I... More

I really enjoyed this place. The food was excellent, the bread basket scumptuos, and the service excellent. I enjoyed Sante Fe so much and look forward to coming back to Telcolte for breakfast.

We went here with people who had lived in Santa Fe 30 years ago. Tecolote was the best Santa Fe breakfast then and it still is today. I had the Carne Adovado with eggs. Full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. Others had the Huevos Rancheros and were not disappointed. We arrived around 9am on a Thursday... More

Yes, this is one of the best breakfast places in the world. Incredible "christmas" (green and red) chile sauce on perfect eggs. Yum! Only open for breakfast and lunch. At a late lunch at 2 Pm there was no wait. On Cerillos road, always filled with locals.

The first time we visited Tecolote, I wasn't too certain the wait would be worth the dining experience and i'm so so glad I was wrong! The service wasn't bad, but the food was magnificent. We've had several of their menu items now and none have disappointed.

We ate breakfast here for our last day on our family vacation. Both of my kids have talked about it all day and I'm finding myself wishing we could come back to Santa Fe next week just for the breakfast. My husband, daughter and I all had different egg dishes which were all scrumptious, and my son had a short... More

Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business. Sadly we also lost Ms.Alice in December of 2012. We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.
