Googled best restaurants and found this in too two. There was a wait for dining room but we went into the Bar half and sat right down. Service was good. I liked the food it's NEW Mexican food....the plate was full off 2 different kinds of bean sides. Enchilada and taco was fresh homemade shells. He didn't like it a... More

The food here is great. All the typical southwestern fare served with red or green chili and you can even have both and call it Christmas. Loved the idea of serving posole instead of rice. The service is good and very efficient and maybe just a little weird. The place is large, but some of the rooms are nicer than... More

Looking for a place with local energy mixed with tourists searching for an authentic New Mexican meal? La Choza fits the bill. Tamales and sopapilla were the most delicious part of our meals. Next time I order my meal without the sauce ladened sides which overwhelmed my entree.

Owned by the same group as The Shed, La Choza is off the beaten path, less touristed with authentic food full of spice and heat. Gluten-free diners will find options here and the staff was able to help navigate the menu for our dietary needs. The pork Carne Adovada was some serious good business.

La Choza means "the Shed" in Spanish, and it is the sister restaurant of the favorite tourist spot just off the Plaza, The Shed. Service can sometimes be a bit slow, but that goes with the local flavor of the place. The New Mexican food is always first rate, and the price is quite modest. Great margaritas, too.

We were a large group of 10. Our waiter was awesome and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals and they even brought out cake for two people celebrating their birthdays. I had the cup of green chili stew plus a combo plate with the blue corn burrito and the pork avodaba with red/green chile. It was a ton of food and... More

Great Margarita Menu and the Bar Tender Steven is a real talent. Good food, and the Sopapillas were the best I've had in Santa Fe. Had to wait for a table but it went quickly with the lively and social bar...

Will never go back. Should have left when it smelled bad at the entrance. Gross. They need to really clean this place. They had plenty of open tables but made us wait half an hour. Rude.

Had dinner here with friends. It was a great stop. Good margaritas and I very much enjoyed the trio appetizer with queso, guacamole and salsa. The salsa hits the perfect pitch of spice and flavor and the guacamole was excellent.
