La Choza is one of Santa Fe's best known restaurants. The food is reasonably priced and very tasty. If you don't like it hot, don't come here. The waitress was delightful. BUT it was painfully slow. It took forever to get a seat, then forever...More

I get to Santa Fe once a month and never miss a chance to eat at La Choza. The restaurant has the best New Mexican food in town, that true Norteno chile. The staff are always efficient and pleasant as well. The décor is festive...More

This place is great....very local. The drinks are outstanding and the green chili chowder, amazing. If you are not in a rush (sometimes there is an extensive wait) it is worth it. Not your usual tourist, on the plaza place, which makes it even more...More

Not a small claim that as we're frequent visitors to Santa Fe. La Choza has to be considered one of the gold standards for New Mexican cooking. We've smothered a few items in their famous chile's, and never have we left without huge smiles of...More

We had to wait... of course to get our table-45 minutes for this very good experience. We came at high holiday season. A charming adobe, authentic building but they stuffed us into basically... a tent instead of the main dining area which had so much...More

I have watched this fantastic restaurant grow from a burned out adobe being restored as a small lunch-only-on-paper-plates venue in 1983 to the sprawling, authentic, wonderful restaurant it is today. As a customer over the past 34 years I have found the food to be...More

La Choza is a fun, tasty and lively restaurant. The food is excellent, although may be too hot for some taste. Ask the waitstaff for a taste if you are not sure. I prefer the red Chile, but the green is equally good. Great selection...More

Recommended by a long time Santa Fe resident, who made it clear to be there early! They do not begin seating until 5 pm, but you can put your name in earlier and wait in the vestibule, where there are benches. Plus, the bar opens...More

We've been there before, about a year and a half ago. It's as good as ever! We were there for lunch and shared a combination dinner with pork adovada (unbelievably tender and delicious), a pork tamale with red sauce (tender, very tasty), pozole, pinto beans,...More

Not sure about gluten free options but I would ask a service person. Average dinner price $15 to $30.
