We went to grab a small snack to hold us over before dinner and, once there, never made dinner. The food was wonderful and the wait staff very accommodating.

Bobcat Bite was known for "the best green chile cheeseburgers" for many years. Recently moved to downtown area and much bigger space.

At 10 ounce green chili cheeseburger is about 12 bucks. Although this may seem a little high quality and taste more than make up for it. It's the most delicious hamburger out had in New Mexico or elsewhere. And good news they take credit card now versus at the old location!

I was sightseeing in Santa Fe and visiting the San Miguel church which is the oldest church structure in the USA. The church is definitely worth seeing and they have a gift shop right outside the church. I asked the attendant there where a good place to eat was and he recommended Santa Fe Bites, which is just a block... More

I'm not one for writing a lot of reviews but I've been eating at the Santa Fe Bite for years. A creature of habit, I always order the 10oz burger with green chili. Pick your side (I usually get fries) but it's the Burger that matters. Don't put ketchup, mustard or anything else on it. Just enjoy the taste of... More

We ate lunch here today. The food was good and the place was packed. We didn't have to wait for a table but we did snag the only one available so I think that was lucky. We all 3 ordered burgers - including 1 veggie burger - and we all ate everything. Very tasty.

We ate at Santa Fe Bite for Dinner this evening with friends. The ambiance was very inviting and clean. The service was friendly but it took more than 12 minutes to be acknowledged and asked for a drink order. There was no excuse because the place was not that busy. I personally feel that service should be on top and... More

Confession from a vegetarian that goes off the wagon for exceptional experiences. This is one and worth breaking the rules for. Their green chile with cheese is making my mouth water now. Just go there and you'll understand. Retro diner atmosphere is charming and casual. Do not worry about the super shabby motel lobby you have to walk through to... More

Had read about their award winning green chili cheeseburger so wanted to give them a try. There are actually some really great green chili cheeseburgers in this town ( we spend 6 months a year here; the " mother" at the Cowgirl is one of our favorites. Set to try them at Santa Fe Bite, we were impressed with the... More

Yeah, OK . . . it was good. But not remarkable. Nice place, good prices, great staff . . . nothing negative, just no remarkable personality. Nothing beyond ordinary good (if that makes sense)

Thank Rich H

The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
