I ate here for the first time in February 2016 at the recommendation of my hostess, whom I stayed with for a month while I was visiting. I had the tilapia, red pepper coconut rice, and the cinnamon dusted plantains. Absolutely fabulous! I have a...More

The restaurant serves African and Caribbean dishes. Nice casual atmosphere and very fast service. Some goat curry pieces were not very soft; although the curry sauce was amazing.

The salmon salad is very good and perfectly done, the mango ginger lemonade is wonderful and the cumin dusted fries are bomb! Jerk Chicken sandwich also very tasty, don't leave here without tasting the lentils.....

We lunched recently, and were still impressed with the quality of the food and service. I had the HARISSA SPICED LAMB SANDWICH, with cumin fries. My wife had COCONUT CHICKEN CURRY. Both were delicious! We will keep going back often!

Satisfying gourmet, tongue melting, feel-good dining adventure. Special food needs okay. Fair prices. Easy if new to East African and other cuisines. Kids menu. Easy, relaxing, slip away to the welcome of Africa. Took me years to visit - don't let this happen to you.

Nobody goes just once to Jambo. We keep going back, for the very different, unique, interesting East African food, casual out-of-the-way environment and friendly service. My wife always gets the coconut chicken curry. I get that wonderful dish or the goat stew (bold flavors), lamb...More

My second time to Jambo, great atmosphere, unique selection of food options. Jambo Cafe has specialized in making food, whatever it is, just taste really good. We so rarely get to experience, in the US, someone who knows their way around flavors and spices, not...More

The menu was fairly limited. I decided too go with mahi-mahi, bok Choy, and rice. I found the bok Choy to be over cooked and the basamiti rice was just not my thing. The fish was ok, it had very little flavor but was a...More

You don't need reservations...but don't plan to arrive at 12 noon! Earlier or later is best.

The dishes were not heavily seasoned, but all of ours contained sodium. There are links on their website for their menu and to ask jambocafe directly.
