I ordered a glass of wine with my appetizer and was poured what I would estimate to be less than three ounces. At that rate they should get not less than eight pours from a single bottle. At eleven dollars per 'glass' they're making a mighty fine profit on a pretty pedestrian white wine.

found this by chance on our way to the Blue Star Art district, and so Glad we did. Great Food. We had the Steak & Frites- nice!, Pear salad- fresh, a flavorsome onion tart, soup and chocolate mousse. Everything was fantastic. Definite return visit.

When thinking of San Antonio I imagine lots on Mexican food and BBQ. Thus I was intrigued with visiting this restaurant. I was not disappointed at all. The menu is creative and varied. The mussels were excellent, (with several different sauces to choose from). We also shared a large bowl of clam chowder that was loaded with seafood in a... More

There are so many dining choices in the downtown area of San Antonio we forget sometimes that La Frite is one of our favorites and we need to visit it more. We remembered last night and vow to return more often. The wine and beer list is consistently good. The owner is in attendance more often than not but either... More

We lived in Brussels for four years and I can say the food is almost as good as the real thing. The rabbit was wonderful ( three ways). The steak and frites perfect. The Belgian salads, the desserts... all very very good. And the wine, mostly French just like in Belgium very reasonably priced. Only issue it was very noisy... More

Cozy bistro in downtown San Antonio that serves delicious mussels in a variety of sauces. Our favorites were Mussels Marinere with white wine, shallots and garlic and Mussels Asian with sake, ginger and scallions. We chose the smoked salmon pate as the appetizer and it was also lovely. Good wine and beer selection and great prices too!

The last time we ate here there were three Spurs sitting a table over. The food is really good but being on the Spurs might be what it takes to afford it. Good wine and beer list. On street parking...meaning you'll be walking a ways if you go in the evening.

I don't really like seafood but the mussels here are so good that I like them with a glass of champagne. One of my top restaurants in San Antonio!

La Frite Belgian Bistro was a place me and my friend accidentally stumble upon, and absolutely loved it! Great champagne selection! And they offer Veuve Cliquot by the glass!
