The location is good, and the outdoor seating area was pleasant although it needed to be cleaned up a little bit. The food was good but not great. There were 4 of us, and we all felt similarly about our meals. Nothing to complain about necessarily but wouldn't rave about it either.

I have always made a stop here when in San Antonio, mostly for the food which is always great. Weather we have 2 of us or 20 they are always prompt and courteous. This visit we were the first in the door for the day. With the whole bar to ourselves we decided to start with the Perfect Margarita and... More

Three of us visited for lunch today. The restaurant was not very full, at least when we arrived. We ordered fast and were served within ten minutes. My grandson enjoyed playing snakes and ladders while we waited for our food. We enjoyed a quesadilla and an enchilada, while our grandson had the chicken strips. The waitstaff was attentive. We would... More

Average Mexican food but terrible service. Waited forever for drinks, then a long time until they took our order. When our meals came my husband had to wait another 5minutes for his, then they brought the wrong tortillas

Hubby took me to the River Walk for my birthday. Stopped in the Guadalajara Grill for a late lunch. We love Mexican food. Server was friendly, chatty and personable. We ordered avocado dip which the server made at our table, with input from us as to which ingredients we liked and how much of some. I love cilantro which he... More

Used to work here for a couple weeks before I couldn't anymore due to my conscience. They reuse their chips and salsa from tables to save money. If you enter the kitchen on the left will be a large bowl to put the used chips in (also one for salsa). The dishes are usually prepped a week in advance and... More

It is very sad that this individual had to be let go in January because he threatened to shoot a coworker in the head when he was told to do his job and stop chatting with customers when it was a very busy evening. Police had to be called as we take that kind of talk very seriously. We are... More

This is a simple and inexpensive order-at-the-counter cafe, but the food is tasty. Breakfast can be ordered at anytime, and the breakfast tacos are pretty good. You can sit outside and enjoy the quaint village sites--quite nice on a warm day.

Great resturant! Short walk from River walk for authenic mexican food. Had the Molcajete which is a hotpot of chicken, beef shrimp fajitas except in a soup with cheese and poblanoes. Served with tortillias and a small espresso cup that you drink the soup. For two persons.

We took my family of 4 to this restaurant because the wait at Casa Rio was too long. While the wait here was minimal, the service was subpar. We didn't get utensils until after we received our dinner....We had to ask for the free chips and salsa...and the wait staff was slow & rude. Disappointing experience overall...
