I loved the wide selection of tea! I had Yerba mate and it was delicious! I also had the salmon sandwich and the size was perfect for a lunch portion and filling to get me through the afternoon. The atmosphere is laid back and has a very local vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful and willing to walk me... More

I learned about this place many years ago from a fellow that I worked with. Now I try to get by here whenever I'm in town. Nothing fancy just a really cool place with plenty of choices in desserts and teas. Oh sure the serve real food but I can get that anywhere. The pies here are really special are... More

My friends and I visit yearly for a convention in San Antonio and always go to Madhatters at least twice for breakfast. They have scrambles, French toast, a large tea selection, and incredible jam/butter. It tastes fresh and the service is always friendly and fast. They can get busy so depending what time you go there may be a line.

We discovered this place while visiting San Antonio and looking for a brunch place nearby. Glad we took a chance, as it was just what we wanted! Nice diverse menu with lots of options, excellent pastries and egg dishes, good coffee and tea, and a fun hip atmosphere. There's lots of room, including a number of rooms for larger groups.... I had a six egg white scramble, it was ok, had no seasoning. The toast with strawberry butter jelly was awesome. The coffee is good. The food overall is average. It's good, but I've had better when in San Antonio.

My friend had visited this place in the past and talked me into going since it was far. I was not disappointed! We only waited a moment to order at the counter. I got an egg, apple smoked bacon with toast and then I ordered a scone on the side because I love them! I got coffee and it was... More

This little place is great for breakfast. I had a scramble and it exceeded my expectations. I loved the ambiance, music, and service!

Madhatter is definitely the highlight of my trip to San Antonio. I lived close to the Riverwalk, so it was a nice walk for me to wander around in the King William Historic District. The unique interior design of the Tea House created a wonderland-like ambience. The key lime cheesecake was fabulous. They also offer free coffee, but you gotta... More

I don't understand how this place has such high reviews. There were 3 people ahead of us and we waited about 30 minutes for a small order of food. They let the teas over-step for who knows how long even though it's a "tea house" and all of the "toast" gets cold before being delivered. Will not return.

I really enjoy the Sunday brunch - can't stay away from the eggs Benedict, and good coffee too. Great place
