This place was sensational. Everything we ordered was great, from the fish to the steak. It was more on the pricy side, but totally worth it. We went for dinner and wanted to go back for brunch the next day, but didn't have the time. 100% would recommend!

Great food! I had the halibut, and hubby had the snapper. Very delicious, and both fishes were cooked to perfection - juicy and not dry! My husband had the chargrilled oysters which had a good flavor, but they were tiny. We shared the coconut pie which was good, but will order a different dessert next time. Can't wait to return!

I first went to Cappy's about 25 years ago and thought it was good, but never realized how good and never went back until last week when a friend invited me to Sunday brunch. We sat outside in the patio which is adeequate but unfortunately overlooks the parking lot. I ordered the Lobster Benedict which arrived pipping hot accompanied by... More

Whenever we visit San Antonio, we stay at hotels downtown; however, we always eat at local restaurants, never chain restaurants, away from Riverwalk. This was not our first meal at Cappy's and again were most pleased. Location is easy to access on Broadway. The menu offers variety. Service was attentive, though not the most solicitous. Kale salad was fresh and... More

We randomly picked this restaurant based on the MANY positive reviews and a chance to get off the Riverwalk for a night. We could not have been more pleased! Our group ordered a good mix from the menu - steaks, seafood, salads, soups - and everything was great! The beef was cooked perfectly, the seafood was tender and fresh, the... More

We stayed downtown on the Riverwalk at the Drury Plaza Hotel. We had a very spacious room with a Jacuzzi which was great. A long walk from the lobby, but otherwise great. Took an Uber ride to Cappys and it was worth it. Everything we had was prepared and presented perfectly. It is worth every penny and considering what you... More

Great environment, great service, great food. Casual enough for jeans and a nice top but fine enough for a romantic date. Between us we had scallops, prime rib and beef tenderloin oh and the elk appetizer with the pickled blueberries! Not cheap but appropriately priced. If I lived in Texas this would be a common night out for me.

A friend recommend Cappy’s for dinner while we were in San Antonio for work. Our group of 8 were seated upstairs. I absolutely love supporting a local restaurant, and this place delivered! The food was delicious, served with flair, and super friendly staff. Very nice selection of wine, craft beer and desserts that make your mouth water. Thanks again, loved... More

Great little restaurant with an excellent menu. Impressive and quiet for the big business dinner or date night. Will definitely return.

We like to sit on the outside patio and enjoy the lemon drop martinis. The service is always great and the food is great. This place is great for couples.
