Enjoyed this place. Fresh Tex Mex food. Enjoyed the 2 Tacos with a salad. Very light and good. My tacos were shredded duck and fish. Clean place with a section for parties

Youngish staff on a Wednesday evening. Shrimp and new #7 and chicken fajita all got plus marks from out party. Momma Elisha is no longer at the door though so some of the ambience is gone.

It's located in a more residential area, which I thought was nice to get away from downtown for an evening. We sat in the patio courtyard which was a little warm, even under the trees, but it is Texas in May. Tables are a little...More

Located just a few minutes from downtown in architecturally rich Monte Vista, La Fonda on Main is the oldest Mexican food restaurant in San Antonio. La Fonda serves both the best of Tex-Mex cuisine as well as authentic dishes of interior Mexico in a fun and casual setting with beautiful patio dining. Open daily serving lunch and dinner as well as a memorable Sunday brunch menu, we offer a full bar with a wide variety of liquor, beer and wine. Our famous margaritas are made with hand-squeezed limes and your choice of a large selection of tequilas.
