I noticed there were lots of locations around town while driving in San Antonio but this location was across the street from our hotel. Wanting a convenient place for a quick dinner, we opted to try Jim's. The restaurant offers a fairly standard American menu including sandwiches, burgers, steak, chicken, shrimp, meatloaf, soups, salads, etc. plus an extensive breakfast menu... More

Service was terrible waitress drooped off our food, and did not check back with us until we were finished. FOod was a little to greasy for my liking.

Jim's has been around forever and there are zillions of them in town. Pretty much all the same, I suppose the only difference from one to another comes from the people who work at each one. I've been to dozens and dozens of them over the decades I've been going....this one has some of the nicest people I've encountered........so give... More

Ate breakfast here 3 days in a row. Diner atmosphere with 50s music, friendly staff and good food. I am very picky about how my eggs are cooked, and they got them prepared perfectly every time! Would definitely go there again next time I'm in town.

We were visiting the area. The coffee was weak for our taste. Biscuits were very good, gravy ok. Bacon tacos -ok -loved that they grilled the tortilla. The ham and cheese omelette was good but nothing exceptional. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. I wish I could have liked the food more since our waitress was so attentive helpful and nice.

I have to admit the Thanksgiving dinner plate they served was VERY good! I was very impressed. The service was a little slow, but if the food at all of the locations were this good, I would eat at any of them. Highly recommend this place. I heard the breakfast was good also.

We had awesome meals for a very reasonable price. My wife and I visited family but wanted a late night snack or meal. Jims stay open I believe 24 hours. We had an awesome experience twice. We had to go back Friday morning for breakfast, after our late night. Very friendly staff.

This restaurant was close to our hotel. I loved the old American café atmosphere. It's a favorite restaurant of my husband's parents. The food was hot, timely and the service was great. We went back the next evening for dessert! We would recommend this place to anyone.

Thank Sharla H
