No frills place with creaky tables and little interior refinishing. But the good is solid with unique features like temperature hot salsa. The green salsa is great also. Try the puffy tacos!

They have AMAZING refried beans that aren't caned like most places and homemade tortillas. Fast service. Great food overall.

They say that the best places to eat are usually the "hole in the wall" type of place. This is not exactly like that but it's close. The location is easy to find and the facility is roomy and clean. The menu is not complicated and the prices are not through the roof. We ate here recently and found the... More

I've been to some of the others but this one is very bad, my wife tried menudo it was disgusting, tortillas are day old, well it seem like, quality of menudo was just terrible, , how can you mess up breakfast with like that, so we thought it was just a bad day, we tried it again on another weekend... Wonderful tacos and Mexican plates. Good service, friendly wait staff. If they have tortilla soup the day your are there, get it - it's great. House-made tortillas, too.

I will keep it simple. I was stationed at Lackland AFB for 15 years and are here regularly. I left SA but recently returned for a visit. I came back to eat and it's still great. Big portions, great price and amazing food. I definitely miss this little gem!

Had the Chilaquiles plate(breakfast for lunch=yum!). It was great. Huge portion sizes, and the bacon was some of the best I've ever had. The restaurant was packed, but servers were still attentive. Excellent!

Introduced to their breakfast tacos, best you will ever have and the fresh tortillas are perfect. They have great enchiladas and huge bowls of Caldo. There are now many of these fine establishments all over town and I recommend them to anyone. Not a fancy place but just good, good food.

Not quite as good as the last time, but we still enjoyed most of it. Beef puffies could have been drained a tad longer to extricate more of the cooking oil that pooled in their foil cradle. My Carta Blanca was cold, but off a few chill points. Maybe it was that I was colder having just come in from... More
