Ok - great food & really good service, but it's a buffet style with limited options. The only down-side is it's a bit pricey for what it is. If you're staying at the hotel it works for convenience.

The staff were great. I just wished there were more food options on the bar menu. Made excellent drinks and the beer options were plentiful

This was a basic hotel bar with a decent menu and good service. The highlight here is the 2nd floor view overlooking the Riverwalk so make sure to get a table looking down onto the river. While you cannot interact with river, it is a...More

Breakfast here is costly--then again, they're in the Hyatt in a part of downtown where there are few other full breakfast options, so they have high rent and a captive clientele. Nonetheless, the fare was fine. The coffee was very good, the omelette station was...More

Ate lunch at the Q Kitchen, the salad and pasta bar were delicious! Ate dinner at the Q Bar one evening, it was ok...nothing special. The service was great at both the kitchen and bar. The drink selection at the bar is very good.

Cooks are a little grumpy, but they see 100s of brainless tourist everyday. Salad was good and varied. Soup was not my cup of tea. Dessert table was great. Paste, which they fixed in front of you was excellent. I will eat there again.

We had breakfast at the Q Kitchen. The omelettes were excellent. The pastries were better than most. The bacon was tasty and crisp. The gentleman who prepared our omelette was easily “7 Stars”. $21 seemed on the expensive side of breakfast.

Description
No one really knows who invented barbeque. In America, it probably originated during the cattle drives of the 1800s, as chuck wagon cooks tried to tenderize inexpensive cuts of meat for the trail drivers. But the Chinese could lay claim to having a form of BBQ long before America was discovered, as well as the Romans and the Greeks. We'll never know who really invented it. That brings us to Q Kitchen | Bar, one of the most innovative restaurants on the River Walk. We've spent quite a bit of time searching out the globe's best BBQ and brought their recipes back to our San Antonio barbeque restaurant. We've added a dash of excitement and fun to the mix, by creating an "interactive kitchen" in the dining area that lets you see how we make our barbeque. Tempted by European style rotisserie barbeque? Go for it. And as for smoked meats...well...one glance at the menu will tell you how serious we are about that. By the way, feel free to talk to our chefs while they cook. You just might get them to divulge some of our secrets. So welcome to Q Kitchen | Bar: the pursuit of the ultimate barbeque. We've done all the hard work. You just need to sit back and enjoy. Let the journey begin.
