HiFalutin Rapid Western Grill opened in 2002, but the dream started way back in 1986. That is when we were creating a name for Baggin's, our gourmet sandwich shops, and happened to come across the word "HiFalutin". This word stood out to us because we've always wanted to open a unique, western-like restaurant and we knew that HiFalutin would be the perfect name! Our family dream came true when we opened HiFalutin Rapid Western Grill in Tucson. We are passionate about great food, entertainment, and an inviting atmosphere. It was my last day in Tucson

It was my last day in Tucson so I decided I wanted to try something American since it was Labor Day so I chose this place and had done Mexican first two nights in town. I was excited about the Cowboy Ribeye I ordered until...the first bite that I could barely chew. That continued for the whole steak. You would think a steak maybe 1/4 inch stick wouldn't be that tough but I was wrong. And it was cooked medium. The margarita was nice as was the shrimp other than having a partial wooden skewer in one of the shrimp. I mentioned the steak issue to the waiter and she said she would tell the kitchen. That steak definitely was not worth the cost of it. I doubt I'll be back when I make it back to Tucson again.More

Favorite place to eat in Tucson

Ever since Hifalutin opened back however many years ago, they have been our favorite restaurant. They have a nice selection of comfort food which satisfies everyone. I highly recommend them!

went there for my birthday. never there before and see it frequently, just never stopped. obvious covid stuff in place, masks for all employees, noticeable spaces where tables were. We started with 2 appetizers, the shrimp and the twice baked potato skins. shrimp were unique...and very tasty, the slaw it was served on had copious onion so I avoided that, and the potato skins were good. Wife had a pulled chicken cobb salad and she liked that, 2 of us had the 1/2 rack of ribs. very tender and surprising very meaty, way beyond what we were expecting, glad I didn't order the full rack. served with a glaze instead of bbq sauce which was good, just that the ribs were very dry. my pork ribs come out dry on occasion so can understand these. The server was Bryce, the guy is great, very attentive, carries on a conversation, and looks you in the eye. free chocolate cake at the end as this was my birthday, yum. The dry ribs are what downgrades this a notch in my mind.More

Four and a half stars!

Super takeout food! Well packaged, quick service, and the pasta was hot. Ordered the a Cowboy grilled chicken sandwich and the General Chicken pasta. Serving sizes are very generous. Thank you!

Great ambiance, very good food

HiFalutin is a great find in the Flowing Wells area. The decor is warm and inviting and the menu offers many kinds of southwester food and basics (comfort food). The service was very good, friendly, flexible and prompt. Everyone was happy with their food, simple...or more complex. We'll definitely go back on our next visit to Tucson.More

Great food and atomospher.

We to Hifalutin for a family birthday, sat on the patio and enjoyed a really nice fresh Mex meal. Fast service, and really large drink menu. Staff is attentive, and the atomospher is really very nice. They have a bar area with seating and dinning...room seating and patio seating as well. We ordered for 9 people and all of the food came out together, and was very hot and fresh. Wait staff did an excellent job. Had a new waiter and she did really well.More

Delightful Find

We stopped for lunch during a day trip, up from the Phoenix area. It's not fancy outside, but the inside has a homey western-style decor, which this city girl found charming. I particularly liked that they had several standing floor lamps with shades, as one...would find inside a home. Our server was very pleasant and the sandwiches & tacos we ordered were more than generous, arranged nicely on their dishes, and delicious.More

Unfortunate Experience at a usually good restaurant

We have had quite a few good meals served by pleasant wait staff. However today our experience was unexeceptable mostly because of a very brash unfriendly waitress. She has a slight accent, but I'm sure she could understand us. I ordered tea with lemon.(no lemon...came). When asked what we would like for a side we both said "french fries". She brought coldslaw. And when we pointed this out she grabbed the coleslaw away and said that we ordered "coldslaw"! We were astounded. She brought back the fries when we were about donw with our sandwiches and never even appoligized for her mistake. And made no accommodation for the poor service. A smile hasn't crossed her lips in a long time. Others have told us that they have had this type of service at HiFlutin, but this is our first and has definitely spoiled the restaurant for us.More
